Enough im coming with a message stuff people

I am new here ive been an on looker on the site for quite sometime just finally started to become an official member im for one getting tired of these threads that have become front page on the site about predicitons a message from aliens what not. Nothing really is gonna happen with these. If they really wanted to get out with their predicitons and messages they would try go to their local media which they probably already have which they just laughed at their face about it because its not true. Ive seen the threads on here from the so called agency which got deleted by the mods and now this other one i see. Enough with the science fiction writing and actually post stuff that is relevant here. Pretty much the only prediciton that really came true was from the norad officer i believe something did happen on october 13th on that day i am just putting out a specific date. All the other threads are great its just predicitons and messages coming from nerds trying to stir things up on a website. So thats pretty much all thanks guys!

You believe what you want, but there are true stories here, like mine, but of course you want to be ignorant. Thats your choice.

I had posted this in the Board Business thread.. but this seems an appropriate place as well. Just a suggestion.

I have a thought if a mod is watching/listening. I know that I spend most of my time on ATS on the new topics tab. I watch as new topics come up and check in on the ones that I am interested in. It seems like the average life span of any given new topic on the new topic page is about an hour. Then if it gets enough flags or stars its life of exposure on ATS is extended by a day or so.

I would like to propose we split the new topic bar into two new topic bars... kind of like a preferred bar and a standard bar. When merited the mods and only the mods would move a good informative new topic into the preferred new topic bar. This would keep the good posts on the new topic page longer and keep them from getting drowned out by the deluge of new topics that normally stream across the page recycling every hour.

I know there is currently the star and flag system for sorting out the good posts from the bad… however I sometimes think that some good posts don’t get the shelf life they deserve while sensationalized posts by time traveling monks and doom swilling prophets get flagged and starred for sheer entertainment value.

Couldn't agree more, I say each time one of these threads come up we just post "YOU ARE FULL OF SH*T" and that's it.

ATS Credibility is damaged more by the the Anti-Coalition/Anti Israeli threads & the racial hatred generated by them

Or is the complain about prediction threads the message? That message is allready spread here... over and over again and just as annoying as the prediction threads.

Why don't you just stick to what YOU are interested in and leave the stuff you DON'T like alone? I mean the subject matter here is pretty diverse and I think there is enough for everyone, whether YOU enjoy it or not. If you feel you have to bash what others are interested in, you're not going to last long at ATS. ATS doesn't have any interest in personalizing itself to YOUR standards of topics, if you want that kind of content, start your OWN website and talk about whatever it is YOU enjoy.

I hate the term "Noob", but, jeez, man. What kind of specialised treatment does a newly registered member want?

That's YOUR opinion and you're entitled to it. ATS, itself, needs no REAL credability, it's a discussion forum. We discuss things of alternative natures, we're not here to change world opinions. It's the members who are so worried about reputation...their own. So relax, I say. Discuss what you enjoy or are interested in and ignore that which does not.

I was quite a happy member up until a few weeks ago when every thread was about someone being an alien....or a prophet of some kind.

The amount of times ive seen people claiming to be aliens and writing in cryptic messages....i can only assume these people are either taking the mickey and enjoy creative writing...or they have a mental illness of some sort??

I cannot delete my account as ATS wants to keep the members numbers high i suppose??
(thats a conspiracy in itself lol)

A mod messaged me to say that accounts are never deleted, and if i didnt like what i was reading then to bassically log out.

There are some interesting threads on here...but you have to trawl through a lot of rubbish before you find anything really factual or true. Anyone can claim to be an alien...to have inside knowledge....or to have some kind of message to spread...but i do believe that these threads do make ATS look like the local loony bin lol.

Im going to try and avoid posting anything negative as its not really the mods fault and if you want to be 1663 on google you have to accept pretty much anyone willing to join.

Thats my rant....and i promise mods......il try and stick to topics i find interesting and believable

If there was no secret/hidden/conspiracy-related knowledge, ATS would have no place. The fact is, there are unexplained things in our world and people with extraordinary knowledge. Aren't you happy your mother didn't throw the baby out with the bathwater? Everything needs objective consideration, or else you are lying to yourself.

The only people I see complaining about this type of stuff are debunkers and non-open minded people.
