Censorship on Manticore forum (Veritas show)

This was a message I wrote to people whom I thought should know. I am posting this here as a reference only in case it happened to you as well.



Hi everyone,

I am certainly not really keen on writing this message because it is energy consuming and not too positive but when it comes down to integrity I certainly feel it needs to be said.

I have been a Veritas (Veritas radio with Mel Fabregas) member since January 2010. I really enjoy his format and his shows. Being a member gives you access to the Manticore forum where members can share info, ask questions (keep that in mind)...

One of the last guests suggested Mel to interview John Lash.
Wanted to know more, I googled John Lash and found out that he gave an interview on Red ice radio. Once on the page, I was shocked to see how similar the website was with Veritas show. Wondering how could that be, I immediately posted my observation, question, surprise on the Manticore forum. Within few minutes, my post was removed. I posted again and not only it got removed again but I lost my privileges (as Mel calls it) to post anything.

Mel and I had an exchange of emails. He justifies his actions by saying that my posts were questions that no one else could answer, therefore under the Manticore protocols it has to be removed and the question sent to him only. Needless to say that I firmly objected to this because even though my post was mostly written as a question format, it was also a mix-bag of observation, sharing and surprise. Also, he seemed to question the motives of my posts...now, since when do you have to justify your posts? And what's the big deal about saying that Veritas website is similar to Red Ice radio unless there is something to it. I will not speculate on that because it is not the intent of this message. I cannot access Manticore forum anymore and cannot load Veritas page unless I use a VPN to change my IP.

Mel does not seem to think that deleting my posts were censorship...then what is censorship to him?

Either you have integrity or you don't have but you cannot have both.

I know I am not the only one who got banned. Mel has lost its way and I do not enjoy writing a message like this one but when lies and deceptions are around, Truth needs to be told.

Mel has a lot of weird ideas. I know he was struggling with the site financially for a while and considered charging his mods a membership fee.. lol! I only know this as a good friend of mine is a mod over there.

Yes its censorship and i bet if ya look into things you will find the reason for his censorship.
People on the net dont like free speech being canned,it will be his downfall.

It is a private forum and Mel can do whatever the hell he wants. If your posts are inappropriate they will be deleted, just like plenty of posts are deleted from here. It's called moderation. If you don't know how to follow forum protocol, you don't belong in any forum. I'm a member there and love it. By the way, many people who have a slow internet connection or cannot log in create a thread: WHY CAN'T I LOG IN? Those types of threads are deleted too. Why, because the concern should go to TECHNICAL SUPPORT and should not go to waste members' time. Get it? If you took it as censorship, you are childish, overly sensitive, and need to learn how to follow instructions.

Oh, I hear Mel is interviewing John Lash this Thursday. Sorry you will miss it.



And I agree with Mel. If you have a specific question for the administrator of the ATS forum, you should go directly to him. Otherwise, you are wasting resources and the members' time. That is not censorship. Again, that is moderation.

And please, those of you who want to join to have some fun. Please do. I'm sure they will have plenty of fun with you...since there is no moderation there.

P.S. I find it comical how when someone leaves another forum with their tail between their legs they go to other forums looking for sympathy. Laughable!

Follow instructions...OBEY...don't ask...you guys know what can be posted or not because you are mods and know it better.

Actually...I am not looking for sympathy. I posted my experience with Manticore forum to let others know. Only time will tell. At least if it happens to other people, they will know that they are not alone.

I don't know what the OP is talking about. Mel just interviewed John Lash and it was one of the best interviews I have ever heard. The OP recommended John Lash and Mel interviewed him. How is that censorship?

I thought Id reply to this as its the only link that comes up when googling veritas and red ice. I had a similar experience today. A speaker I follow posted a link for a show aired on veitas never been there before but as a long time member of red ice i too couldnt believe the similarity between the lay out and format of the sites. This got worse the longer I listened to mel fabricas (not to mention the ominous word fabricas) as he sounded like henrick palmgrem putting on an american accent (besides his intonation being the same his swedish accent seemed to come through also)

I am not saying either of these sites put out bad stuff, nor am i suggesting anything about the guests.

I do strongly feel though that these two sites are run by the same person and I am concerned as to why they are not up front about it?

I recall Matt Delouze berating red ice as an outfit only after your money (but as he berates most things I took it with a pinch of salt) however this has made me think somewhat differently as I just cant get over my gut telling me mel fabricas is henrick palmgren; i defy anyone to listen to both of them speak on not hear the same person! to find he has banned a discussion about this on his site seems like further incrimination to me and its a bit of a shame as I enjoy the speakers on there but (as he has been accused) if he censors who get air time and who does not - who is he working for i wonder?!. bad feeling sorry folks. my four peneth for the record in case anyone else google's these names and websites looking for a connection.

I have to agree with the OP in the fact that the manticore forum is quite locked down. I have been a subscriber of the Veritas show for 30+ days and still am not allowed to post to the forum... I have never seen a forum with such strict rules.

Exopolitical, states that it is a "private forum" but, then any forum you have to register to post and/or read is private. I can't think of any forums I belong to that aren't somewhat private (even the free ones) And yes while Mel owns the forum and can do whatever he wants, his actions do not change the definition of what censorship is.

Mel deemed the OP's Manticore posts as unacceptable. If I were in Mel's shoes I might have too.

Looking from Mel's perspective, I don't think he is censoring people from finding out about other alternative news sites as, I found the Red Ice Radio link inside the manticore forum, so I don't think Mel has an issue with Red Ice Radio. I think he found that the OP's post didn't add to the conversation of alternative news and views. So he removed it.

I just wish that people didn't charge to access such information. It just seems so against the message that they are trying to spread... It's akin to saying, Boy I hate this banking oligarchy and their ways, I have information about getting rid of their control, but you have to pay. Didn't someone say BE the change you want to be?

Alas, this is the real world, Mel needs to make money. Maybe one day Mel will figure out how to make money with sponsors who he feels will not censor his message. Veritas Show might look similar to Red Ice Radio, but it's cheaper, and these days I cannot afford much.

It is interesting how similar The Veritas Show site looks when compared to Red Ice Radio however, I think that the OP's post would have been better submitted through an email rather than an open forum.

Mel deleted my post. He banned me from Manticore. He blocked my IP for a service I am paying for! I cannot access the radio shows unless I use a VPN...Why would he do that???

BTW, I did ask Red Ice radio about the resemblance both sites share (after being banned/blocked)...they seem quite upset about the similarities. You can ask them yourself.

All I know is that he censored me for something minor. He blocked my access to the site itself, NOT just Manticore! I am paying and being blocked to access the site itself?!?!

That's not as bad as the 'G' forum. Here is the insider info on that and don't ask how I got it.

Forum admin/owner 'T' charges $100 to join for primo subscription. Now, there are three large right wing PR companies that do 'forum posting', email sends, opinion letter writing, opinion news story posts, etc. One of them is the same PR company that was working for the Tobacco industry - (and about had everyone convinced that cigs were harmless). Yea those guys. Google em.

So - the way the SEO (search engine optimization) is set up on the 'G' site, the moment you make a post the keywords drop it right into Google and other search engines. So you can basically do social engineering right out of the 'G' site, making posts that immediately hit Google and ostensibly millions of viewers every day.

So the PR companies pay their sock puppets subscriptions to the 'G' site. Of course there are a lot of anon 'cowards' on there- thousands of them. Well, if any of these AC's start making major attacks against the (usually ridiculous or easily disproven) posts being made by the paid 'subscribers' it is only a matter of time before the AC finds his IP blocked. Usually permanently. They then get a 'note' that if they pay a subscription for a year they will be allowed back on.

And that is how that scam works. I haven't witnessed anything quite that bad in my 15 yrs online. Kent would be rolling over in his grave.
