Untold hours were spent studying and being tested on visually identifying an air-to-air threat to include its type and threat potential. I understand the difference in an aircraft contrail and a missile launch contrail.
Any one better qualified here to identify "the thing in the sky which make a ...trail and was saw on TV" ?
