strange sky?

Hello,

i live in toronto canada, even though not a lot goes on around here, for the past week the skies have been 100% clear as in NOTHING not even a small cloud or chemtrail type lines in the sky, and prior to this week it would be packed with clouds as if there was a thick layer of mold someone just padded on the sky...if that makes any sense they were not normal clouds.And this could have been my paranoia (im not sure why i would be paranoid) so i chose not to post this a week ago, but for the past 3 days there has been one 1 distinct cloud in the sky and this cloud remains there allday...not moving or changing.
i have a picture of this cloud although i am not sure how to post it, any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

thanks, theres the link - another strange thing i forgot to mention is that when there were clous a week ago...and this one has the same qualiy....they were all tilted on an angle towards the ground - more so then this one, and this strange occurance is something ive never seen in clouds before...arnt they supposed to just be vaporized water particles?

High pressure system sitting over Canada? That was my first thought.

yes but this one cloud remains there all day and then again the next day for the past 3 days.

On Nov. 11, 2010 in Toronto I was walking west with my boyfriend and saw something strange and unexplainable (to us) in the sky. I wish I could have gotten a better photo but this is the best I could do.

What was very odd about this sighting is there was a jet flying to the left (not pictured) and we knew whatever had made that corkscrew effect in the air was not a jet. What was also odd was that, like your cloud formation, this wasn't moving. It's hard to see in the photo but near the branches of the trees you can see that this actually has a long trail with the "corkscrew" getting wider closer to the ground.

Does anyone have an explanation for what this could be? The only explanation I can grasp at is maybe some kind of firework???

yeah for the past two days its been foggy to the point where its touching the ground, and then a few hours into the day the skies are perfectly clear with odd lines and X shape clouds, some like the link below

and some that are perfect X's in the midst of wavy clouds. This is very strange from my perspective because i haven't seen anything like it here before. And that thing you saw i have also seen that in the sky for the past few days in different locations, strange.

oh and that cloud in the sky that does not move still is there for the past 4 days during day light hours when skies are perfectly clear....except that cloud.

I just did not post that its been there every day because this thread does not have many posts, although that cloud does alarm me i haven't been so scared to sleep (i have a huuge wall to wall window so i see it all day) since it apears there everyday looking exactly the same from roughly 1-5 pm give or take a few minutes depending on when the recent fog clears up.

6th day, same cloud same location and appeared after a foggy sky, now the skies are suddenly clear.

What side of the city do you live on? I would also be alarmed, kudos to you for watching the sky. People need to break out of their bubbles.

I wish I had more to suggest but I am as baffled as you!

I live on the South side of Toronto closer to mississauga, today is another completely foggy day and im assuming by 1-2 again all of it will be gone and it will be perfectly sunny...once again. This is getting so creepy that i do not even notice that cloud sitting outside anymore seeing as how no one really seems to take notice. I am not on drugs and i do not live under some dillusional mind state, in fact my family never used to pay attention to this phenomena but they have also noticed this cloud - the cloud that I have reported is at the exact same spot, same shape, same size all day and everyday for the past 7 days - although i am waiting for the fog to clear up to see it again today i assume it will be there again.

oh and for the past two days an extreme number of contrails have been in the skies closer to around 6-7 pm and they litteraly criss-cross all over the sky to make amazing patterns - if this occurs today i will post photos
