Why doesnt ATS have a poll voting system?

As the title says. This sites content is generated by us, the user. So why isnt there a poll function where we can vote on things and express our joint opinions clearly? Whats the reason for omitting this feature?

I think it would be a brilliant idea and so would the majority of users I have talked to.

I have no objection to a poll system. Lots of boards have them. But seeing which threads get lots of flags, and which threads don't, which is the only voting system we have now, I don't necessarily think the poll would be all that helpful or persuasive to me personally. Some really bad threads seem to get way too many flags.

On the other hand, maybe the polls would add something, and the flag system is too limited.

It doesn't seem like a novel idea to have polls.

Yeah i like the idea of weekly polls.

The difficulty will be who decides what is poll-worthy.

It is a great idea though, i can think of several poll subjects already.

Who is in charge of the world?
1. The Holy See
2.The Templars.
3.The Illuminati.
4.The Dragons(Orient).

Is there a base on the Moon already?
1.yes
2.no

Do you oppose Agenda 21?
1.yes
2.no

I'd better stop, but you get the point, there are indeed lots of questions and it would be very useful to see what the ATS mindset concludes on many issues.

In all fairness, ATS ain't fair.
ATS is a nice, soft and fluffy place you can let your freak flag fly without being called a freak.
Or so the mods would have it.
Just look at the whacked out posts that they leave on here.
They have the positive star and flag system with no negative choice.

It just does not matter what you think of others here. They don't want the honesty.
Just perpetuate the crazy talk.

We don't need one of our whack jobs bustin' a cap in his head cause he got a pile of negative starts on his reptilian thread now do we?

Yea exactly, I think it would be really interesting to see what the general ATS mindset is. And it would be a brilliant tool for the owners to get feedback from the users.
