With what this Indian trip is costing, he could have kept that same number of people in employment for a few decades.

It's a big PR stunt.

When will people stop believing the propaganda lies? Has anyone seen Obama restrict his lifestyle or reduce un-necessary gubberment spending in this recession?

People are so indoctrinated in the present atatus quo that they don't even question a system which supports an obscenely rich elite ruling over the increasingly impoverished work force, which maintains starvation or near starvation in 2/3 of the world, where the Emperor Obama takes an opulent trip to India to sell more weapons to create more wars to kill millions more people.

I mean, does this system really work for you?

Have all the wars of the past centuries brought peace to the world?
Has all the so-called 'foreign aid' helped eradicate poverty and exploitation in the third world?
Has the media and the official statements apparatus been known to reliably tell the truth?
Is US funding Israel's genocide in Palestine?
Have BP and the Government effectively tackled the Gulf of Mexico Oil spill or are they poisoning thousands of innocent civilians there?
Do you even care?

I just don't get how people can still believe this BS.

I am always amazed at how inpatient people are.
Why do people think that all that crap that has happened the last 10 years can be fixed in 2 years?
Give the poor man a break, he just got skullFed in the midterms, people hate him because he's black or "muslim" or a democrate or whatever. But what the fudge do people expect in 2 years, he's not God or anything.

It's their motto - kill for peace. Despite the fact that the track record over many centuries proves beyond any doubt that this strategy DOES NOT WORK, people persist in buying into it.

A definition of insanity: Doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results.

It's not the politicians who are the most insane here. This strategy works for them. Brings millions into their pockets via the corporate industrial military complex pig trough. The insanity rests with the people who just refuse to believe what is in plain sight right in front of their noses.

It's not impatience, it's common sense. It is clear from the decisions he has made, the bills which he has passed, what direction he is going in. Only the deluded can believe that removing civlil liberties and freedom of speech support freedom, that pouring billions into the banksters ponzi schemes helps the people, that allowing US citizens to be assassinated by the gubberment without due process increases the protection of the individual.

When Obama makes an executive order to take the money printing usury away from the Federal Reserve private mafia and put it back into the hands of the US government, when he stops sending billions of dollars of aid to finance Israel's terrorism, when he enhances civil liberties instead of stripping them away - only then will I begin to, tentatively, sit up and listen.

I never thought of him as a "savior" he is simply a man like any other. I've dined with "important" people, and believe me, they all put their pants on one leg at a time just like you and me.

Obama is a politician just like the rest, although I hope he is less corrupted then most.

I just e-mailed him again, my Monday briefing. At least someone will read it, I'm sure not him, but someone.

If enough people e-mailed the White House weekly, say every Monday, or called, e-mail and fax your Senators/Congressmen after they voted on a issue and let them know you agreed or disagreed it might show Washington that the "pions" actually are informed and care about their government.

To be apathetic, vote party prejudice and remain inactive is to invite the loss of your freedoms and liberties.

well for starters if obama would have given the 3.7 trillion dollar to the taxpayers that would of paid for every mortgage in the good ole USA now i bet that would have fixed things pretty quickly

the tardation for obama just makes me ill, yes bush was a bag of rotten apples, but obama single handedly has over spent in his measley short time more in less time than all presidents have together. and not sure if people are ignorant, stupid or just down right dont have a clue, but educate yourself as the insanity of saving a measley 50,000 jobs when you are spending 200 million a day for it is totall insanity in itself. If obama was so concerned with the U.S tax payer these shovel ready projects that had been promise early on might have resulted in more jobs huh

the true reality is it just another way for the elite to say eat cake serfs, pheasants, etc,

Obama cannot make an executive order to do most or any of those things.Presidential decrees can be overturned by the congress, and the bulk of Congress, on both sides of the aisle, is corporatist, statist, and obsessed with security by any means necessary. It is an Anti-Jeffersonian congress and it is only interested in the things that you want Obama to banish. It will not happen, and if it does, it will not stick.

Wow Seriously people?

All of you who praise and respect Obama over this pathetic venture are fools or worse.

Tell me what in the world makes any of you think the US president's job is to be creating jobs? What is worse is that he is making a complete fool of himself with his overly flagrant detail of security and manpower. What president flies around the world with 250 CEO's of the wealthiest corporations in America to 'do business'? this whole notion that hes done some great thing by 'providing' 50k jobs is a pathetic joke. The economy even after its worse figures was still hemorrhaging almost 500k jobs a month. Spending even half of the 200m/day figure to negotiate 50k jobs is an utter waste of time. Are we really to think that if CEO's wanted these jobs they couldnt be making their own deals to create them? nearly 6 or 7 times these amount of jobs were created alone to complete the sham of a Census that we have and it looked like a great recovery in the job sector - until they were all laid off 4 months later.

Seriously if you want to praise obama for doing something honorable, lets hold him accountable to the things hes ACTUALLY responsible for - like that abysmal foreign policy that everyone hated so much during the bush administration but has since then been a complete non-issue even though the direction hasnt changed one bit.

The hypocrisy of the world is astounding.

Those 50,000 jobs must be from the Indians that are either retiring or being killed from muslim bombings.

Hmm
A president that works for the people...

No wonder this guy is soo unpopular...cater towards large corporate interests, or be prepared for the wrath of the rich as they unleash their zombie drones.

When will Obama learn...serving people will only give you negative results.

(sarcasm off now..well done Obama. Bush or Palin would have rather eaten a baby verses do this for America)

Its simple partisan hatred...these are the same idiots that a few years back were lining the streets for dubya in the he could do no wrong attitude because he had a R in front of his name.

Funny thing was, they were defending things like torture, outsourcing, wealthy taxcuts, and uncontrolled spending and debt for 8 years, then suddenly when the letter changed, they found jesus.

lol...best to just ignore the chirping nonsense...sadly, they hit on the emotional strings of the average chimp and due to America's severe attention deficit disorder, have effects.

This forum/esp this thread are an excellent example of the level of ignorance US Citizen's have regarding the Economy. This is a positive step, one of many small positive steps we must take in order to restore our Economy. Recovery will be a decade long process and maybe shorter if things go well, regardless of who is running our country. I suggest everyone who is nothing but negative towards these jobs, go take an ECON class or a Business Statistics class so that you can see how ridiculous your expectations of our current Economy are.

I applaud the President not only for making an effort to bring jobs back to the US, but also for extending a diplomatic hand to India, one of the largest/fastest emerging economies in the World. This sets us up for good relations with a very important country in the future.

come on really? the idiot said he would fix everything during his presidency. remember "i bring hope and change."
yeah we definitely got change because thats all we got in our wallets now a days and we definitely got some hope now...hope that we will get a better president and government when 2012 rolls along.

but all of you who think he is great...are just democrats too ignorant to see all sides and that includes the independent side. unemployment is in the 9% of the people who are registered for unemployment...really unemployment is in the 11% because of the people who haven't claimed unemployment. many of you cannot see the full picture because you think you are right in every way and then try to justify your ignorance. well justify why America is still falling? justify why people still cant pay the bills or eat? please i want someone to justify all of that if obama has had such as great and beautiful presidency...

and just food for thought...a presidency only really lasts about 2 years...why? because the person is already campaigning for the next presidency. so we most likely WILL NOT see any change or anything done to help us in the next 2 years.

too much time has been spent trying to get a #ty health care bill passed and too much bs'in around the world has been wasted. sorry peeps but even bill clinton could have done a better job...hell somebody with a high school education could have done better.

wasted money and wasted time was the entire presidency.

johngrissom, thank you for further proving the point that the American public has no clue how the Economy works.....anyone who thought things would turn around no matter if Obama or McCain won lives in a fantasy world.....I look forward to the next 2 years, and hope that our Economy improves, all that can be done now is the laying of foundation....trips like the one he just took to India are a good start.

15.3 million are unemployed as we debate this is good or not...if people in the united states can have an opportunity to receive these jobs then 14 million people will still be unemployed. which is still practically nothing because its like a .6% increase in jobs done in 2 years give or take the jobs that were increased in previous months. a .6% increase is nothing...compared to the losses that are still happening. we need a "profit."

the united states fixed the great depression with the programs that in turn caused the current downfall. then we got a huge stimulus bill that cause the printing of more money...which devalues any money system.

the only way we gain a "profit" is dumping these programs that gave out free money, caused people to be ignorant with their money...which started a domino effect.

this trip to india was an expensive trip for a very very small gain. united states could have used this money to START jobs or increase the salary of the jobs who receive tax payer money. now im not saying that it cost $200 million a day but this is not the only trip he has taken during his presidency that cost money. plus not to mention the fact why is our government looking for economic and job fixes in india? why not china or the European union?

what we need is someone who doesnt need to rely on their advisors all the time to solves problems.
someone who appealed to me the most is ron paul...he knows his stuff. he is always researching current trends of the fluctuations.

so if we want things fixed...in my opinion its him.

and yes i have takin an ECON class...
