The Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and Georgia are currently undergoing conversion to become cruise missile carriers. Each will carry the new Tactical Tomahawk (154 in total).

That type of striking power is is simply awesum. They can lurk about near a rouge nation or other target and stay on station for an extended period of time.

you have to love that one more arsenal for the already deadly subs this way you can have subs launch missiles and they don't have to be nuclear we would need a destroyer to do that before but now the sub is way harder to detect so less risk for our service men.

Also, as tensions rise , the Navy can preposition a SSGN in the area ready to strike without escalating things by moving a CBG into the area.

Definitely more than one, maybe three... weapon capasity of these Ohio SSGN's is so big. (and surface ships needs air defense cutting down free "cells" in VLS available for TLAMs)

I don't know with 4 you more likely have 2 patrolling around 1 pacific 1 atlantic and 1 as a wild card and 1 in port for maintanance. I doubt they will be in maintneance / overhaul. You might be hard pressed to keep 3 on station for a long duration. But 450 cruise missiles will ruin anybodys weekend

I would be very surprised if they maintain the Blue/Gold crew system when they were used in a strategic detterence mode.

Might not be a bad idea to have a couple of SSN's around for protection escort. Ill bet volleying off 150+ Tomamhawks will cause quite a rucus.

The Bible Code site www.onealclan.com... has found so many Torah Codes predicting war on the horizon that, if just one comes about, every one of those ships will be unloading their full capacity onto a passel of countries.

It has already been decided that they will keep the 2 crews. As for overhauls and maintenance, they will keep the standard rotation, just shortened from a month to about a week or two.

Sorry, no sources to give you, just what I know. (Was on Michigan for a while.)
