This system , currently fitted to tanks and other vehicles, would be better adapted to intercept anything from a bullet to an rpg, and fitted to the walls around Israel, and at strategic locations within the Israeli border, to prevent Israeli civilians from being threatened by bottle rockets and so on. There is NEVER an excuse for killing a civilian when you could pheasibly take only the scalp which threatens your people. Its wanton, needless, and evil to do anything else. This is exactly the reason why I do not support the wars my nation prosecutes, that the USA prosecutes, and the horrifying BS that the Israelis are involved in. Thanks for taking the time to reply. However I am educated in this field & believe I am enlightened on this subject better than most people here. I am not a Jew (Nor do I believe any religion) but my opinion remains unchanged. These are cowardly Palestinian terrorists who hide among ordinary citizens. If they were people with integrity they would challenge Israel in an open battlefield military to military. But of course they are to scared. True Israel is protected by the US but Iran funds cowardly Palestinian terrorists! seems like an even match!

Again, with respect, courage has to be tempered with a degree of intelligence and common sense. It would be ridiculous for the small band of Palestinian fighters to take on the state of Israel. Why is it, any news that is put out, that doesn't show Israel as a blood thirsty gang of murderers, is propaganda? Can't it sometimes just be the truth? I am not saying that they are always truthful... But others claim that it is always a propaganda lie...

People are so intune with Israels propaganda machine, that it seems that anti-Israel propaganda has grown legs and is in the lead!

I am sure that the leaders of Israel know they are under a microscope.

You do realise that Israel has the biggest most technologically advanced military in the entire region and that the Palestinians have no standing army, navy, airforce etc? They also lack any modern weapons. They are also mainly civilians too, fighting occupation and oppression by brutal invaders of their lands.
So, being civilians themselves, of course they live among the rest of the civilians. Give them heavy armoured vehicles, an equally sized airforce and navy and then they may be in a position to go toe toe with Israel on an equal basis.

As for them being cowards, taking into account the Israeli actions against civilians and their infrastructure over the last few years, both in Gaza and Lebanon, I think it's clear who the real cowards are! When Israeli forces came up against people shooting back in Lebanon in 2006, they stalled and had to retreat.

Im sure they do Buster, obviously not all Israel's activities have an evil slant to them, but it can't be denied that Israel most definitely is playing fast and loose with any agreed conventions around civil rights or even warfare. There is an obvious scorched earth policy in relation to anything Palestinian, including the lives and liberty of civilians and combatants.

Palestinians are pretenders?

Can you enlighten us all as to what that means? It's nothing to do with Judaism, Islam or Christianity, it's all about theft murder and oppression by an occupying military force. It's about forced eviction and theft of land by immigrants backed by that occupying force. It's about time people started to see through the whole "poor hard done by Jews" angle... it's irrelevent and a smokescreen!

I was wondering what was different about ATS over the last few months. Now I realise we were spared the usual bombardment of "Israel the bloodthirsty barbarians hell-bent on murdering civilians to achieve their systematic destruction of the Palestinian people" threads.

Again with respect. I also thank you for not personally insulting me with any name calling & talking instead. But yes I believe Israel is acting defensively against the barbarian terrorists who call themselves Palestinians.

I'm not touching the Israel/Palestine topics anymore. It has become quite clear that there is a huge propaganda machine up and running. Just reading the post in this thread, and seeing the number of posts that these pro-Israeli contributors have under their belt, the noise of the cog wheels churning is deafening.

We all know the score. No matter how many posts are written to support Israels behavior, it will not change anyone's opinion. If anything, it only strengthens the convictions of those like me who are determined to expose their wrong doings, and make sure that any behavior that is not on the up and up gets dealt with to the furthest extent of international law and those participating get the most severe punishment allowed under the Geneva Convention.

In my opinion this is a typical scare tactics policy. Its not the first one and certainly will not be the last. The only conclusion i came through, is the fact that a superior Army Power in Middle East, such Israel has an Itchy finger.

You quote the same old, same old, but with a diffirence. You state you know best yet refuse to even acknowledge that others are replying to your comments. You spout the propoganda of a nation that has well documented evidence to uphold fair minded thinkers views that the Israeli government is corrupt and evil.

You are one of many who frequent any thread that is deemed negative to the Israeli cause and mindset. You use the same tactics we have seen over and over again. Prove me wrong...show me evidence to uphold any of your claims. Show me evidence to counter my claims of the cleansing perpitrated on the Palestinians. Show me evidence that your mouth speaks based on proof of your absurd claims and not blind denial for the Israeli cause.

The fact is, the children of Palestine are being murdered, being imprisoned, being denied a future and more importantly, growing up seeing the Israeli occupation for what it realy is. One last question...is it any wonder those children grow up to be freedom fighters against the tyranny that is the Israeli cause?
