Looks like alot of colorful gadgets.
I personally would like either a full rifile, or a pistol.
Not an automatic pistol with a scope and lazer lol

235 fps is okay for backyard skirmishes, but if your playing in a field, you nee something like 300+ fps with .25 bb's
I run a few different guns when I play, depending on my mood, mainly i stick with my S&W M4, which shoots 325 out of the box

I would look up a classic army sportline model, theyre a pretty good beginner's gun

"You get what you pay for". - The old line rings true again.

I'd shy away from a bottom-shelf gun, such this one...

... and lookie @ those links to reputable vendors that were just posted...GL deciding, and don't rush your purchase. You'll just end up with, well...a really expensive toy.

Edit:

I've been to Airsoft Atlanta's storefront before. Though it was a few years ago when I was doing the paintball thing. But I can vouch for these guy's credibility back then...if that means a darn thing to ya at all.

I like this affordable, gas-powered Luger myself.

I have an MB-40D airsoft rifle, one of the best budget air rifles on the market. For about $200 you get 400 fbs with a 25-30 meter range. IT is dead accurate at 10-15 meters, but loses speed and direction beyond that. Hurts like a B though. Best part is.... it's a bolt action! Currently undefeated on my airsoft team. I haven't been hit once and have snagged 4 different people in 3 matches. I recommend it for its realistic feal and low cost.

good god, I picked up a barely-fired USP in .40 s&w the other day for $500.

Are you guys telling me they are charging almost as much money for airsoft "weapons" as their real-life counterparts?

Haha! That's exactly what some poor souls are doing. Though the customer-base for these rich kid toys, are probably in reality the parents of said spoiled brats.

Don't get me wrong, as I think there's a cool factor inherent in certain Airsoft guns, ie. the video of the mini-gun above, but you won't see me dishing out that kind of dough for a replica.

I actually used to run with a budget AK, it was tough, but I made it work, and then got an AEG SAW a few years back which has never seen any action. So I'm doing the responsible thing by selling it, because I usually just have it sitting up on it's bipod in the middle of the floor wishing I had time to actually play again. I'd post a link when I put it up for sale, but I think that may not be allowed.

but yeah, you get what you pay for. Except Echo-1 was pretty reasonable in price and quality and coming around back when I stopped playing. In the firing test of the SAW(aslo echo 1), it tore through my 1000 round box-mag like nothing at at around 300FPS. They had pretty sweet M4's too. This gun, with all the bells and whistle, really is just kinda embarrassing and flimsy.
