I swore I wouldn't do it. I said I wouldn't, but the inner child in me can't let this go.

Here I am, in my office, surrounded by...oh....a minimum of 80 grand worth of computer equipment playing with sand, and bugs - and having a blast.

I can't help it. It's fun.

Here are a compilation of snapshots I grabbed from various sources that would hold still long enough for me to stick it under the USB microscope I just got.

I know it's childish, and immature....but....you gotta admit, it's really cool.

Youtube link is here www.youtube.com...

nice! I was lucky enough to have had a microscope when i was young, tons of fun. Looking at things with it probably changed the way i grew up. I love knowing that the things we can see on the surface are so much more complex when you zoom in... yet as they say, As above, So below.

I had several when I was young, back in the 70's. The bulky plastic ones with the mirror on the bottom.
This one is basically a magnifying webcam that I got to look for stress fractures in soldered joints on circuitboards.
I had chemistry sets too when I was younger until the great carpet-bleaching incident of '81.
