Want to know what would happen if a 10km-wide asteroid came out of the sky and slammed down on your city? Scientists at Purdue University and Imperial College London have updated their popular impact effects calculator first produced in 2004.

Hi guys, just thought I would bring this program to your attention(provided you hadn't heard of it before).

The software is free to use online and can be found here....

I tried an impact scenario, and one of the results didn't look right. It said "5.22 x 10^18 Joules = 1.25 x 10^13 MegaTons". That is off by a factor of 10^12. I'd say they haven't iron out all the wrinkles, yet.
