How Would People React Before End of Days?

Let's imagine a situation where scientists find out the sun will soon scorge and destroy our planet. It would be a painful, burning death for everyone. And assuming there will be no way for anyone to survive.

Would the public be let to know? What would be done to prevent chaos (people raping and killing each other, destroying everything, etc)? How early would they let nations know the date the end comes?

Would they host a possibility for a 'romantic, peaceful, painless death'? And serve pills that make you fall asleep and die for all the rest?

I know this is a cruel thread but interesting nevertheless!

Some would act in fear. Others in peace. Some would be brave, some would crumble. Some will pray, others will curse. Many will be frightened, others will be okay. Some will protect, some will harm. Some will be the light, others the dark. There will be love in some, and hate in others. What will be will be.

I believe everyone will react in their own personal ways.

IF there was no chance of survival, I would probably just try to accept my fate and hang out with my family, the rest of the world probably would be a mess of violence and panic. I don't think the human race is able to function in chaos and panic. Also there would be no order, and people would feel they have nothing to lose. It'd be a scary time to be alive!

I think there would be an increase in end of the world predictions and threads,huge credit card debts,apathy,fear ,crime,murder etc etc.Wait isnt this already happening.?

the fear of death is i feel a conspiracy in itself, people are programmed to fear it, and we all know fear is used to control people. therefore it suits them for us to fear everything including death, i would not accept pills for a peaceful death because i would not trust that we were being told the truth about a end of world event, i would believe we were being told the world would end and then being offered pills for peaceful death for a population reduction plot. once the event passed, the media would be like oh it missed us or oh it was not as bad as what we thought.

so what would i do if it was going to happen? just spend time making sure the last days are as happy as possible.

.. it will be horrible..So many people looking forward to live and enjoy life will be gutted.But IF after 90% of the world population takes nice sweet suicides pills and died in mass ...and ...and .....NOTHING happen (no sun..no end... just a trick )...The clever 10% remaining are going to have a hard laugh....

You know I just thought about that too. Good way to get rid of overpopulation. 90% take their lives in offered ways. "Oops, miscalculation."

But I think it would be hard for people to get anything with money as everyone would stop working. (Except the old lady selling milk and bread in the medieval French village..) And material values would start feeling less tempting maybe.

What I see is people having SEX, and lots of it. It helps for the depression of a hangover as well. I think people would be frightened. It's hard to imagine if people would start doing crimes such as raping if it was already against their nature.
