Earth-Sized Planets May Be Common Throughout Our Galaxy,NASA Survey Suggests.

ScienceDaily (Oct. 29, 2010) — Nearly one in four stars similar to the sun may host planets as small as Earth, according to a new study funded by NASA and the University of California.

I have always suspected that not only are Earth like planets common in our Galaxy, but are in fact common throughout the Universe.
Finely we are starting to get confirmation from main stream science.
This brings us closer to life that may exist in abundance throughout the Universe.

At this rate it's just a matter of time before we find life out side this planet.
I feel we are being prepped for this disclosure,never before has the subject been so excepted or talked about.

prepare to be waiting a long time. It will be at least 10- 15 years before we have the capability to detect spectral signatures of life in atmospheres of other planets.


on the prediction in the OP it will be interesting to see how accurate they are when the kepler results come in a few years time.
