Helicopter access would explain the lack of a trail.
I don't really see the strategic need for infrastructure in this location, especially in free territory. Maybe USGS related? I can see if the BLM has
any answers.
Hum well I am stumped as to what this is , maybe they transported a small dozer in there to clear this area off for some reason because there are no
tracks going in there .
In a place that small, they would use a bobcat. I wouldn't rule out a bladed ATV or one with an excavator attachment.
There is generally some limited amount of dirt you can move without a permit, but I don't know about BLM land. Given the proximity to Range 61, I
would expect this is Nellis related and not Groom, but you can't rule anything out.
