My neighbor and I were discussing how, as election day draws closer this year, we're being barraged by a larger-than-ever flood of direct mails,
phone calls, and door-to-door canvassers seeking our votes. I wouldn't mind so much, but many of them get quite obnoxious and won't let you get a
word in edgewise to politely say, "No, thank you." So, we decided to hold a contest (for amusement purposes) to find the best response to the most
annoying phone calls. Some contenders thus far:
- Keep saying, "I'll be right with you," in a strained voice accompanied by a repeatedly flushing toilet.
- Ask, "But is your candidate for 'hope and change?'"
- Say, "Oh wow. They're allowing violent felons to vote now? Cool!"
C'mon ATS. I'm sure you have some of your own?
