Hello Romantic_Rebel,
I recently watched President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad address to the United Nations. I actually watched the real version rather than the, at times, wrongly
dubbed version. In his address he was very succinct, very knowledgeable about the issues in the world and specifically the Middle East.
I for one do not believe Iran posses any threat to the Middle East or the World. I would be more inclined to think that the US media, which is largely
controlled by Israel and their interests, is depicting the President and the country of Iran as the "bad guy". I won't go into the specifics of the
regime within that country, I simply do not know enough to comment, however I do know quite a bit about how things work in the West and the United
States of America.
If I were to pick a "bad guy" in the Middle East, I would have to point a finger at Israel. However much criticism that may get me, I simply do not
feel that their regime is anywhere close to Democratic. It strikes of fascism, and yes I do realise that is going to raise alarm bells especially in
light of the atrocities of the second World War, racism and attempted genocide of the Palestinians.
I don't think anyone is blameless, I do however strongly believe that the press and media is fighting a war of belief. My only recommendation would be
to look beyond the veil.
P.S. I agree that this is a great article (sorry if I was not quite on topic there)
Regards,
T
