Oil Spill Cover-up in Michigan EPA Lied about quality of clean up!!

Ok, first off this is my first big post that I have spent some time on, so please bare with me!
On back on July 26, 2010 the Pipeline that belonged to Embridge Inc. ruptured in Marshall, MI. Spilling close to a million gallons of oil w/ benzene... I have found proof that there is still oil. The EPA has approved Embridge, that the clean up was satisfactory but there is still oil in the Kalamazoo River. Embridge has covered the oil with dirt and grass to get past cleaning it and spending more money.

in nj ,,,, mcguiire afb has become a superfund site,,,,,, yet no one around it has a clue about the contamination

it must be up there to be considered a "superfund site"

i bet our water isn't the best


anyway,,, the EPA ,,, not wanting to have to pony up the money to clean it up,,,, basically wouldn't open the letter with the info,,, statement of contmination,,, etc

basically if they didn't open the letter,,,, therefore they don't know about it,,,, or have to acknowledge it

recently ,, years later,,they've finally approved funds


but i find it funny how quiet it is,,,,, no one has a clue,,,, and i came across it by accident

first time poster long time reader....I live in battle creek michigan which is about 8 miles west from where the oil spill started....The oil ran west into my town and created a smell that lasted for weeks..My son and I went down to the river the day after the spill and the odor was so bad that you could only stand to be around for about 5 mins before you started not feeling right...With that being said yes what happened here was a horrible thing but it was an accident and i truely believe that. I drove past the river on wed. and yes it looked bad but there was also still alot of booms in the water which makes me believe the clean up is far from over..I remember reading where yes the bulk is cleaned up and they released alot of workers but the detailing of the river would take the better part of 2 years..just thought i would throw some local knowledge out there before we start convincing ourselves we have another Gulf of Mexico on our hands (in which case yes i do believe there was a cover up). thank you for your concern about our little town very appreciated
