The Last Era of Cash?
Green, tangible, US money on it's way out?
That is what it looks like to me.
What is tragic about this transition is that it will de-value the hard work you do everyday.
What makes more of an impression about how much money you spend? Pulling out 20's from your wallet for those $80 boots? or just swiping a card?
Swiping a card is a lot less likely to have you worried about what you spend than showing yourself all of the cash you are spending as you pull it
out.
And now this, making it easier to spend money:
(CNN) -- Square, an application that turns a smartphone into a mobile cash register, is open for business. Created by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey,
Square uses a free download and plastic card reader to let users accept credit card payments.
The app charges users 2.75 percent of the transaction cost plus a 15-cent fee -- a rate Dorsey said is in line with what retail stores pay for
accepting cards
"No one carries cash any more," Dorsey told CNN's "American Morning."
