In contradiction of the Revelations in the Torah; in contradiction of the Revelations received by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and Zechariah; in contradiction of the Gospels; and in contradiction of the Revelations received by Mohammed and conveyed in the Quran; the Roman church is now saying that the Jews are not the “Chosen people”:

www.ynetnews.com...

This assertion, effectively, resurrects the “Final Solution” of the Nazis; this time applying that “Final Solution” the conflict over Jerusalem.

This will not succeed.

This is a question seeking information.
Is it your position that the Jews ARE the chosen people?

The article says that we are all God's chosen people. It also expressed concern for the welfare of all living in these areas as well, condemning violence and oppression of any sort. So any sort of final solution as mentioned in your thread title would be included in that condemnation.

You know, Im really interested to hear your interpretation of these events DISRAELI, You seem pretty good at breaking things down into their fundamental parts.
What do you make of these events, are they more than they appear or is the Catholic church merely trying to spread peace through ecumenical theology?

It is quite pemissible to assert that the Revelations in the Torah cannot be used to justify violence and injustice against the Palestinians--never mind, by the way, that the Roman church exterminated tens of thousands of Albigensians for teaching the same understanding of the Doctrine of "resurrection" that Jesus taught; specifically, as a Doctrine of 'Rebirth'--but it is a FLAGRANT contradiction of the Revelations to assert that there is "no longer a chosen people" but that "everyone is the chosen people".

Even the Quran specifically and extensively affirms that the Jews are the "Chosen people".

Rather, it is the assumption of a racial superiority because the Jews are the "Chosen people" which provides the Zionist 'justification' for all manner of EVIL.

I'm curious to see what DISRAELI says about this as well, but what you have said here is my take on it.

Reads more to me that the Church of Rome wants to be seen on what is perceived to be the good guys side fighting for justice.

I have no issues with anyone condemining violence, or making moral stances, as long as the rules they use are applied equally across the board, I however can not abide aynone using slight of hand and missdirection to hide their own issues..

Right now, I am sitting on the fence on this one..

I would want more time to think about it, but my first thought was certainly "good way of making friends with the world of Islam". A good long-term political strategy, from their viewpont.

PS In theological terms, I don't think the statement is a radical departure from what the church has said traditionally. From the Church's viewpoint, "God's people" expanded from the the Jews in the OT to include Gentiles in the NT. And the Church has traditionally re-interpreted the OT "promises" to Israel in more spiritual ways. So the comments are actually consistent with what the Church has been saying before.
It's just that the timing of the declaration is very, very interesting

The article says that we are all God's chosen people.

But we are all NOT God's "Chosen people".

The Jews are the "Chosen people".

And this is not because I am a Jew.

It is because of the Revelations in the Quran.

Of course theologically speaking they are incorrect, what I am curious to know is what you think their agenda is beyond simply trying to slip and slide and make themselves appear to be defenders of peace.

The Quran does not once contradict the Revelation that the Jews are the "Chosen people".

Not once.

Who the Roman church is "making friends with" here are the most extreme, racist and bigoted Muslims of them all: the Wahhabis and the al-Quaeda sympathizers.

I do not agree with the Vatican on many things but this is absolutely correct.... biblical claims CANNOT justify the actions in the middle east by any of the opponents... it is sad that scripture is halting peace on earth instead of promoting it... I know that cannot be a loving God's doing... sadly I agree with the globalist elite.... the time for God has passed and now the time for world peace is at hand

Jews alone are not the chosen people.

Everyone forgets that a Jew is technically of the tribe of Judah.

Everyone is not God's chosen people. Israel is God's chosen people, of which Jews are a part of.

This is also part of the revelation of the Bible as well. As far as what the perspective of the person quoted in the article was, I don't know. My guess is that it was said in the interest of being ecumenical and in the interests of peace in that region, though obviously the statement ended up being controversial.

starred .... and might I ask what exactly are the Jewish people chosen for? and could that answer be what is transpiring now to manifest what is "prophecy" later?

For the Roman church to assert that the Jews are not the "Chosen people" is NO different than R. Ovadiah Yosef saying that Gentiles are donkeys.

What R. Yosef was trying to do is to establish the absolute supremacy of Jewish, racist, religious fascism as the ultimate arbiter of Revealed Truth; so as to preserve the jobs and the economic interests of the Jewish religious 'authorities' and establishment.

And this is precisely the same thing that the Roman church is attempting to do, the Doctrine and Revelation of the Jews as the "Chosen people" constituting a serious threat to those efforts.

That is, the Roman church is trying to establish the absolute supremacy Christian theology and the blood-thirsty, idolatrous worship of Jesus as 'God'--it has already resulted in the Holocaust--as the final arbiter of Revealed Truth.

The Muslims should not be expected to ignore such a challenge.
