Seems to be before any questions are asked you need to remove ANY source of contamination. No humans in the room. Sound absorbing wall and ceiling covering. Put your questions on a digital recorder/player. place a recorder in the area as well. PLay your digital player and hit record on the other one. Leave the area.

If you get anything. Then I'd be more likely to taken a more serious look at it. You'd still have to eliminate any other stray noises like water leaks, heaters, boilers, whatever.

One thing I would recommend is to leave plenty of time between questions for answers. I read somewhere that it may take a lot of energy to communicate verbally and the spirit, entity, or whatever you want to call it needs to have time to amass that energy.

I did an EVP session at my house-- which I consider to be haunted. Some of the questions I asked were:

Do I know you?
Do you need help?
What is your name?
Who are you?
Do you have a message for me?

I did not get any response but when I asked "who are you?" I did get a huge build up of static and then it gradually disapated. Not really conclusive at all but interesting to me.

EVP is big hype. You can try to make a word out of background noise just like you can find a face on the moon. Or a face in anything for that fact. If a demon wants to have a word with you DUDE TRUST ME they will have a word with you quite freakin clear.

I'm getting a digital voice recorder in a few months time and I plan on asking the usual questions, who are you, are there any other people with you, etc. I don't want to go in all guns blazing since I've seen that on TV shows and it is very disrespectful. I will also be turning the recorder on and leaving it alone in a room for half an hour at a time or so, or recording when I'm in silent meditation, both times asking if they would like to speak, feel free to, then thank them after reviewing the audio if they have left anything.

Good luck with your trials. I hope you get what you're after.

any input.

How about start with questions like "who are you"" and "what are you?" Not much point asking what the afterlife is like if you're not talking to dead people.

And if you're really feeling brave, ask "where are you?"

Can't wait to hear the results. I do wish you much luck in your EVP endevours. You could tell them to seek the light and hope they find their way home. It has always disturbed me that there are lost souls wondering around out there.

For those of you familiar with evp research, is it possible for other entities to come through?

All this bullcrap.
Just ask a question that nobody knows that answer but you.
When you get it back, you do not need any further confirmation about what is real or false about this phenomenon.
We do not know why, where or how. But you, as a person, in that instant, have unburdened yourself of the fear that there is nothing more after you die. That breeds all sorts of energy. Revel in it.

Great questions.

Im not to sure about ghost boxes. They are too open for interpretation for my liking. Ive never tried one so im not discounting them but people can easily hide behing the whole creating words from random noise excuse.

I have seen them used and the fact that they do sometimes give you intelligent answers is pretty cool. Id much prefer a clear voice that cant have come from backround noise or static. Will show up as waves on annalyses and can be cleared up so theres no doubt that its really a voice.

Dont forget to post anything you get through ITC, it may have to be something i'll look in to in the future.

Thanks for the vids anyways.

Yeah i understand your concerns.

I think ive got most of the bases covered.

Where it is possible, i'll definatley be doing this on my own. Im not just going to leave a recorder in the room though, im going to call out, Rewind the tape on the spot and see if anything turns up. If it does then i'll procceed to ask questions. This will be backed up by a secondry recording deice that will remain constantly running. This will catch everything, aswell as anything i might miss when im rewinding the first one. This will all be recorded on a video camera as i do it. The camera wont be there to film ghostly activity, although if it catches something then great. Its there to show people the whole proccess so they can see when they EVP's occured and what i was doing at that time.

Yeah i've had similar results myself. I've even had what sounds like speech but its so faint that when i cleared it up the static made it impossible to decypher. Thats why i never put them up for people to share. This time im going the whole way. Im getting two 24bit/96Khz Digital recorders. They will be able to record anything in high quality up to 48 Khz or double the hearing range of humans ears which max out at around 20Khz

So if someones there to be heard i'll definatley catch ssomething. As you can imagine though they are'nt cheap.

I understand your concerns. This is what im setting out to prove one way or another. Baseline tests of any area will give me an idea whether theres a lot of backroung noise or static build up. If there is then theres no point in doing an investigation because the results would,nt be clean.

When i do my first sessions, i'll attempt to cover all the bases and leave no doubt in peoples minds. Then you can make what you will with the results.

In terms of Audio equipment try to use a 24bit/96Khz digital rcorder. It will give you high quality at up to around 48Khz or double the hearing range of Human ears.

Im not to sure about cameras, because im focusing on Audio evidence at the minute but definatley do some research. Then you need to back up with secondry devices to confirm what your catching.

Try to keep the area that you investigate as clean as possible. Control it and ensure no one contaminates it. Do baseline test with all equipment as a comparison. Be respectfull.

I know where your coming from but what makes you think a spirit would know the answer, to any questions that nobody else would. I dont believe they can see the future but then ive never seen any evidence to support the idea. So i could be wrong.

If it goes the way i plan it to, i'll have a wealth of info that i can check up on for confirmation anyways.

OMG it would freak me out if someone said, "im right beside you". but at the same time it would be amazing. I'll definatley put that on my list. I've got away to tell whether theres anyone even their as ive out lined earlier. Its probably the best i can do.

For all the naysayers here is a fresh evp I just recorded. It is my first evp and I finally figured out how it is done. It is kinda complicated but once you know what you are doing it isn't that bad.

I asked the question "Why do reptilians need humans?" The response is very clear at the 22 second mark. The voice responded with "purpose".
