This is pretty hilarious

lionsgatefilms.com/f911/

Fahrenheit911.com is still up, but the fact that they got the producer/distributor/whatever's site and put up the pirated copy of the movie just a few days after its release is pretty hilarious.

Screenshot for if/when it gets taken down.

So is this Moore causing more attention for his film? Or a big ass slap in the face from the hackers of the net?

Bush wouldn't have to use those... he has own version of Babylon 5's Nightwatch with Homeland Security and Patriotic acts.

Isn't that a weird hack? It's like if I took down disney.com, only to replace the home page with direct-links to their movies. Doesn't make sense.

Unless the "attackers" like what Moore is trying to say, but don't like the way he's sending his message.

Morbid, it was simply a hack to steal from Mike Moore.

I doubt it was a pro MM statement. And when these guys are caught they'll have more serious charges than hacking.

Distributing a pirated movie for free? Woah.

I've been pondering this you know, and I've come to the conclusion that :

1- Maybe this wasn't a "pro MM statement", but they weren't apparently against the message stated in his movie (IMO)

2- They might have been against MM's business practices and personnal agenda, etc ...

Is distributing pirated movies really worse than an un-authorized breaking, entering and modifying of a website? (plus probable data lost, if they didn't backed up everything first)

I guess you're right. They're both federal crimes and serious.

Hard to speculate though on the mind of a hacker. Usually it's just ego I guess, but I see what you're saying since so many think distributing free music is a cool statement against big labels, but they still like the music.

And here we have "Ministry of Peace".
www.disinfopedia.org...
www.disinfopedia.org...
And add this:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Doesn't look promising!

Yeah, copyright holder associations are especially after those who leak movies before their release/premiere.
(not that I would bet those big money owned associations would do anything to this case)

You know all the "bowling" related links have been down for days.

That sucks. I guess the whole MM site changes daily though, so just keeping up with things for 911. Or it's been hacked.
