Or it could be a Siemens:
Sorry for such a small picture but it certainly does look like the same "posture" taken by the he/she/it in the documentary.

Charlie Chaplin's daughter-in-law was a REAL time traveler. She claims to have been initiated into a time traveling, Kabbalistic secret society in southern Spain and to have passed through an activated portal (called "hekhal" in Kabbalah) on the top of Mount Canigou into the past. This was the great secret behind the mystery of the church at Rennes-le-Chateau and why its priest Berenger Sauniere suddenly become very wealthy. Read her books "Secrets of Girona" and "The Portal", which busted this historical mystery wide open. Two films about her remarkable story are here:

Salvadore Dali was also initiated and underwent a similar experience, which he depicted in his painting entitled "The Railway Station at Perpignan":

One question I wonder,
If this were a time traveller, then he/she would be coming from our present time, say late 90's to present time frame, as we all know electronics move forward and develop quickier than the last made batch leave the shelves, by doing a simple google images search of 'Future Of Mobile Phones' we can see that these devices advance & will mutate into smaller & smaller devices, who's to say mobile phones wont be all made as wrist watches or other tiny components meaning this particular traveller had to of come or visited the recent times we live in, what im saying is everything like this always get related to our present time, Why could the traveller not be from 22nd or 23rd century is which case no-one knows what shape or form a mobile phone will beedit on 9-4-2011 by DarthPhobos because: (no reason given)
These new-fangled Babble Machines -- they don't seem new-fangled to you, eh? -- they're easy to hear, easy to forget..."Yahaha, Yahah, Yap! Hear a live paper yelp! Live paper. Yaha! Shocking outrage in Paris. Yahahah! The Parisians exasperated by the black police to the pitch of assassination. Dreadful reprisals. Savage times come again. Blood! Blood! Yaha!" The nearer Babble Machine hooted stupendously, "Galloop, Galloop," drowned the end of the sentence, and proceeded in a rather flatter note than before with novel comments on the horrors of disorder. "Law and order must be maintained," said the nearer Babble Machine...
The first thing Mr. Smith does is activate his phonotelephote, the wires of which communicate with his Paris mansion. The telephote! Here is another great triumph of modern science. The transmission of speech is an old story; the transmission of images by means of sensitive mirrors connected by wires is a thing but of yesterday. A valuable invention indeed; Mr. Smith this morning is full of blessings for the inventor, when by its aid he is able distinctly to see his wife despite her great distance.

OK ATS
this is what you are all here for, annalytical skills.
Check this footage from the 1928 film The Circus,
The footage is appearing on a guys youtube also promoting his film festival, so apologies on that, but he found it, so spose he can garner the attention for what he wants
Basically there is a woman/man in drag walking in a scene talking on what appears to be a mobile phone.....
Watcha y'all think? Have a lookie !
Was Charlie Chaplin a time traveller? he made loads of money and cornered a market.....lol
Or was it a day tripper saying yeeehah guess where i am?
Or a lady clutching nothing with a shadow in her hand?
What would you do if you could time travel? Checkout this clip from the behind the scenes footage from the 1928 Charlie Chaplin movie ‘The Circus’. This short film is about a piece of footage that a fan named George Clarke found from behind the scenes in Charlie Chaplins film ‘The Circus’. Attending the premiere at Manns Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA – the scene shows a large woman dressed in black with a hat hiding most of her face, with what can only be described as a mobile phone device – talking as she walks alone. George’s only theory is simple… it’s a time traveler on a mobile phone. I like how George thinks. Check it out yourself and see what you think. Just don’t try to think about things like the nearest cell tower. I can just hear Doc Brown saying it now, “Marty. You’ll never guess where I am! Mann’s Chinese Theater to see Charlie Chaplin.” My theory is that Charlie Chaplin was the time traveler and he must’ve brought someone back. I even found another video of Chaplin showing up in the future!

How can there be "Rules of Time Travel" if there has been no proven account of time traveling even existing? That's Hollywood's rule.

Highly suspicious.
If he's a "time traveler", who would he be speaking to on a cellphone?
I'm pretty sure service was spotty in 1928. not many towers then.
I'd like to see the original movie. Does it seem very likley that Chaplin would film this guy talking on a strange device and nobody would inquire what he was doing? Wouldn't even be curious?
Something fishy here.
