Fahrenheit 9/11 Movie Goer Assaulted

Movie Goer Assaulted at Fahrenheit 9/11 Showing

It appears that a gentleman who attended a showing of Fahrenheit 9/11 was assaulted as he was leaving the theater. The incident occurred here in Las Vegas, where I live.

As a loony left-wing liberal myself, I am sorry to say that it appears that the assaulter was a member of the left-wing group moveon.org.

Typical...Liberals are quick to point out how "evil" republicans and conservatives are...but it seems that at every organized liberal event it turns violent...

Funny how I have been to alot of organized liberal events and NEVER seen any violent acts or people. Looks like we would have seen more news on such acts.

I really do think that the anger and fight this country has had (over civil rights, vietnam, etc) is still alive and kicking. Now it has an outlet and the propoganda is flying.

I don't think this kind of thing will subside, but perhaps get worse as time goes on. If Bush is re-elected things could get a lot worse. The malcontents at least now have hope that they can get him out of the whitehouse. If not, then they have lost that hope and will not get it back in the near future (4 more years). This could be a huge problem.

Otherwise, the conservative backlash on Kerry should he win might be just as bad.

The assaultER was a liberal????

I'm confused. Had it been the assaultEE who was a liberal coming out of the movie and a right-winger picked a fight I wouldn't be terribly surprised because of the nature of the film and the heated controversy it brings up. But for a liberal to attack another liberal coming out of a liberal's movie? Something is very confusing there.

Lol... That's what I had been wondering too. Is that another example of ignorance at work?

Ive been around many of the larger rallies in NYC...and believe me...most are tons more violent then the news shows...

I posted this earlier about my experience after leaving the movie. I'm not liberal but I'm not conservative either. It's just bad business what the liberals are doing though.

"Accosted outside Theater"

After watching the movie, my girlfriend and I exited the theater and were approached by many people with petitions calling for Bush's impeachment, repealing the Patriot Act, and trying to register people to vote democrat. When I said I wasn't interested, I was asked whether I saw the movie. I said yes and continued walking. They then said that I should know what kind of person Bush is and that Kerry would be better. I then said that I didn't plan on voting for either candidate. That was even worse in their book. I was then surrounded so that I couldn't walk away. They started shouting quotes from the movie and I did my best to reply from the information that I knew. When they determined they couldn't rustle me and that I was actually getting others to think about the movie they started calling me a right wing wacko. My girlfriend (a registered democrat) laughed at them because she knows I am far from right wing. They began to laugh at her for being with "a guy who has his head in his a$$". I finally pushed away through the circle and got away. You would think they would be happy by me just spending the money to listen to their story, but I guess they were upset that I couldn't be hypnotized.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Are you saying Moore said he would not vote for either candidate? I'm not sure that's true. He is a devout democrat and would want someone as liberal as John Kerry, who was ranked as the most liberal senator in the Senate. Even more liberal than Ted Kennedy.

Could you rewrite your statement so it's a little bit more clear what you are trying to say? Thanks.

I personally think that there could be lots of violence and civil unrest if Bush wins in november. Not just in the US but abroad. Things could get really nasty. For alot of us, this has been the longest 4 years ever, and we might not be able to take another.

People might start to take things into their own hands....

No, not terrorism civil unrest in the US. It's not a matter of who to vote for, I'm just saying....alot of people really, really don't like Bush and things could get violent if he wins.

So Liberals would get violent if Bush wins?...That would never happen!!! ....its sad...

So if Bush wins liberals will get violent, but if Kerrey wins, the terrorists will get so violent they will kill. Hmm. I wonder who I'm going to vote for.
