The Burqa... Getting attention all over the world from getting banned, has caused a frenzy in the European, western, and even some of the Mid-Eastern
world... But is it right? Should they have the authority to do this?
My anwser... Yes.
Why?
As a first point, the Burqa is only a cultural part of the world, it is not required, nor mentioned from what I see in my research and self-reading.
The Burqa has been highly misunderstood by muslims and even forced, which is completely wrong and not in the ways of Islam.
Imams and the Burqa
As a second point, I believe and see Burqa as a danger, it is something that should be and stay in the past, but it's false religious guidelines have
brought it to here, the 21st century, and many times, what is a good arguement towards the supporters, who is behind it? A dangerous man walking the
streets of a crowded area armed? It should be taken seriously.
As a third point, Islam is not all about the clothes, modesty, but the modesty within, you have to be able to express yourself, feel good about what
you wear, even this here imaam agrees with this statement.
Burqa needed in Islam?
Fourth point, something I find one of the most important and one of the most conflicting with Islamic rules... Health and the Burqa.
Enveloping outer garments, such as the burqa, are believed to cause or worsen medical conditions in some individuals.[19] In particular, they
contribute to a predisposition for hypovitaminosis D, which can lead to rickets or osteoporosis and may increase the risk of seizures in infants born
to affected mothers.
In Islam, it is not allowed to cause yourself bodily harm to yourself, especially others ie: the infant. A burqa has no place in the 21st century, or
in Islam, I see it as culturally getting ancient, and it now needs a rebuttle and removal. If anything, I see a great positive outcome with the
removal of the Burqa
The Burqa
Discuss.
With Good intentions,
