There is no dark rift. That's another hoax just like the federal reserve hoax. Many hoaxes have been created around the 2012 date.

Pole shifts have not happened in 200My. That is demonstrable.
No unknown planet can exist that enters the orbits of the known planets. That is demonstrable.

These are just 2 more hoaxes that have been attached to the hoax called 2012.

Its a shame its postponed. Most people in this country would like it to end right now thanks to the government.

Actually, there IS a dark rift. The dark rift is a reference to the center of our galaxy. And the sun will appear to "fall into it" as the sun, the earth, and the center of the galaxy align.

You must be talking about something else, unless you mean the center of the galaxy doesn't exist

What I was talking about is a very mundane, observable, and predictable alignment. Unless you consider modern astronomy to be a "hoax" as well.

Don't confuse "Earth" with "World". The Earth is the planet, and the World is the summary of all human societies and nations.

The End Times is about the end of the World, not about the end of the Earth. The Earth doesn't give a # about us. Nuclear War, Asteroid impact... the Earth keeps on smiling (sort of), WE DON'T.

Also, the Mayan Calendar speaks about the end of the World, and the start of a new one. So it's really about the overthrowing of all human societies and nations and thus forming a new World. Not to be confused with the New World Order of course, that's just NWO wannabe horse#. The NWO wants a change affecting this World, not a whole new World alltogether.... that is actually what God wants (End Times).

Why now? After everything we've been hearing about 2012 for the past 4-5 years all of the sudden some random scientist makes a discovery that the date is wrong? Does this mean that every other scientist, astrologist, and expert on this subject over looked this extremely important fact? What about the confirmations from other people about 2012?? Nostradamus, Edgar Casey???

this is very confusing....

Actually I am well aware of the galaxy. No, the earth does not fall into the dark rift. The Earth crosses that part of the sky every year. Nothing special happens in 2012.

Well maybe it's not a hoax, maybe it's real after all. If I were TPTB this might be my first step in calming the herd before the shearing.

Also, the Mayan Calendar speaks about the end of the World, and the start of a new one.

This is an oft repeated claim. So far no one has been able to substantiate this claim. Can you?

lol i love this it is so funny to see just how gullible you people are .
First 5 or 6 years agaio scientist start talking about the 2012 and every one starts spouting END OF THE WORLD.
now scientist say oppes we were wrong .and every one jumps on the band wagon sayiing aww to bad .
now when the world finly does end if its just the human world or the earth ist self that dies .I highly dought the world or earth or some spirit with ultimate cosmic power will give one flying hoot as to what date you would like this to accrue.
But to make every one feel better .I assure you the world and earth WILL end its not a question of if but of when.
sooner or later a stray rock or neblua or planet or black hole or the sun just grows old and expandes untill it engolfs the earth .
tommrow or 5 billion years from now it will end . But we will have ended much sooner .

I hardly think that Nostradamus and Edgar Casey are good references. Their predictions have been shoehorned into the hoax called 2012.

The issue of the correlation between different calendars is not simple. There have been a number of claims made over the years. Most, but not all people agree with the GMT. Recently, a PhD student in the Netherlands tried to match up the motions of Venus with the Venus tables. He suggests that the best match up is if the date is moved 200 years into the future.

I agree, the Maya speak of the Age of the Next Sun, the 5th Sun, as for Apocalypse this is part of Revelation and not Mayan. People are mixing everything together and they keep thinking that the Maya have predicted the Apocalypse, this is silly we have barely begun to grow as a Species, besides the Apocalypse takes place in another part of our World, not in the Americas.

This hurdle we all face with Society, this controlling Media and their constant distractions from the Truth, this inability to free the people by freeing their minds, and this elitist concealment so that we do not find out they are just monkeys is the ultimate Ending. I personally look forward to the Future, and I am prepared to accept Mother Earth as she readies herself for our Sun's Change. It is with great awe that the Sun of God is about to leave us (3 days of darkness) and will be resurrected again. These are Blessed times.

Again, obviously not paying attention.

I did not say the Earth would fall into the rift. I said the SUN would APPEAR to "fall into" the rift when it crosses it.

I also never made any claims that anything would "happen" in 2012. I said that this alignment makes it clear that the end date of their calender was indeed December 21, 2012.

And yes, I'm sure the earth does cross that part of the sky every year, but the earth, the sun, and the galactic center only make this formation every 26,000 years.

Please read this one more carefully, as you obviously didn't pay attention to my previous posts.

that is the worst explanantion ever in the history of explanations ever, why didnt the mayans predict a timeline change then

how can you? then that debunks all the mayans as false prophets and must be stoned to death, hahaha

new timeline? the future does not exist ever

we are only ever PRESENT, human BEING, not been or going to be

we can change anything and everything but its starts within, not waiting for everyone else or nothing would get done...

I did pay attention. You are quite mistaken about the 26000 year occurrence.

I did some more research, and I'll admit it looks like you were right about the sun crossing the galactic center every year. But the 26,000 year period is relevant because this only occurs on the winter solstice once per 26,000 year cycle, due to the precession of the equinox.

Thus, my only real point, which is that their calendar's end was marked by a special astronomical event, is still valid.

The problem is that the best alignment was back in 1998. So the 2012 date doesn't work.

Galactic Alignment

The most perfect galactic alignment between the Earth, Sun and the center of the Milky Way happened back in 1998, but now we’re slowly shifting away from that alignment.

Throughout the entire Classic period of the Mayans the 2012 date only appears once. This is in reference to one of their gods and that it would be the date of his descent. That's it. In fact a large number of the calendars from this period extend up to 20 baktun. Of course there are monuments that place the beginning of the universe trillions of years before the universe actually began. So, even if the Mayans had predicted the end of the universe, one must call into question how accurate their ability to predict events actually was.

Greg Braden has a book on this very topic entitled Fractal Time. He does mention that not everyone agrees on the 2012 date but that there is a general concensus, having adjusted for Roman, Gregorian and various "tweaking" of the calendar throughout our history.

He correlates, not just the Mayan prophecies/calendar, but Vedic, Hopi and other prophetic references that seem to corroborate the 2012 prophecies.

Not all doom and gloom and has a surprise "solution" for how to "seed" change during choice point times.
Even has formulas for how to predict other occurences based on previous patterns.

Pretty informative book on the subject under discussion. Might even help the subject under discussion.

Btw, I don't make any money on Braden's book sales; just pointing people to sources of information regarding topic choices.

Sigh.....and there it is...for the world to see. The continuation of the perpetual fear campaign with the date revised for the end of the world. Not surprised really. This has been going on forever. When the date nears or passes the dates are moved again and the whole thing continues or starts over.Comical really. I guess once they realized that they can not hide the fact that there is going to be no cataclysmic disaster or no large planet on a 3600 year elliptical orbit bringing back the dreaded Nephalim they better change that date AGAIN! The only thing that is going to cause the end of the world might be US it's inhabitants, if we continue doing things like the gulf oil leak and the countless Nuclear blasts on this planet. We should look in the mirror..not some ancient Mayan calendar or the rantings of some old conspiracy theorist passing himself of as a ancient writings expert.
