is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing or does ATS not offer email notices on threads that I've posted on? thanks

No, they don't "email" you, when you post in a thread.

However if members reply to your posts, you will get a Private Message in your inbox, you simply have to select the "replies" button in your Private Message section.
