of your planet X, Nibiru, Nemesis, Wormwood etc etc.

Why does that information not scare me as much as your avatar does, rai76?

hehe j/k

Quadricle-- Hey, thanks for posting the pics, I still haven't learned how.

I have never seen that object and still haven't found an answer. I thought it was maybe a lensing thing, but its in different places within a few day time span.

okay, as for the origanal post many of you have pointed out a mass of flaws. great job folks!

now, before i rip into this i just want to say i am, in no way, attacking you or your intelligence rai76. you stated that you did not write this, so i'm just attacking the writer's.

so, as people have stated, an asteroid cannot be twice the size of jupiter. do you know how large that would be? that would be 176,000 miles in diameter. something like that would not be missed. neither optically or by it's effects on everything in the solar system... also, not to mention it being an asteroid would imply it to be solid and not gaseous like jupiter. this would then no doubt entail i higher mass, which would lead to more effect on other solar bodies.

another thing, this is something someone fabricated in an MSN group. anyone can go there and make something up. was there anything to support any of what was said? nope. not to mention their talk about the "oord cloud."

Oord Cloud too! (look up Oord Cloud, I have no time to
exlain).

no time to explain, eh? maybe because the person who wrote that knows so little about what they're actually saying to know it's ACTUALLY the oort cloud.

I have been watching it for 2 months now. If you zoom into that spot you can see it pretty good. It sort of looks like Asteroid 4178 toutatis. Its shape and the way it spins on its axis. Trust me it spins, remember I have been watching it for 2 months.

considering toutatis isn't even in the imaging field of SOHO, and that even if it were it's not even close enough to being large enough to reflect any sunlight. also, for it to reflect sunlight i would have to assume that it would be on the OTHER side of the sun. but hey, that's just my common sense talking. as for watching it for two months? yeah, that means you know everything about astronomy.

It all starts with Comet C 2002 T7

now, this one is surprising me that no one pointed out that this comet passed by earth IN APRIL! remember the two comets that had the potential of being seen naked eye not too long ago. one was 2001 Q4, discovered by NEAT, and this was the other, discovered by LINEAR. also, saying "Comet C..." is redundant since the "C" is an abbreviation for "comet."

in short
who ever came up with all this nonsense should be slapped repeatedly with a herring. it's just overloaded with pisspoor astronomy.

as for the SOHO images quadricle posted, i'm guessing that that's the plane mercury. and no, i have not been watching it for two months, nor did i zoom in on it to see it's rotation...

cmdrkeenkid-- So help us out a little on the soho pictures because I dont know a whole lot about astronomy.

June 18, this spot is in about 1:00 position, and june 19 it is in 10:00 position.
If mercury revolves every 88 days around the sun, then isn't it moving pretty fast?
If it is mercury, is it on fire in the june 19th 15:24 or is that glare?

Do planets revolve in one direction around the sun? and which way is that?

Thanks for your help.

can you get the images and post them here? i really don't pay much attention to SOHO to be honest. heh

yes. if you were to look down upon the solar system from the north pole of the sun the planets would seem to be moving counter clockwise. some comets and kuiper belt objects that enter the inner solar system do have retrograde orbits, meaning orbiting the other direction

cmdrkeenkid,

thank you for explaining!

Indeed im not the writer of this. I only read it and thought it was interesting. Im really not an expert on this. I only hope with reading all this te learn a little bit more, that's why I posted it here. I asked the person who wrote it to take part on the discusion and explain himself/herself more, don't know if it will happen.

I think this is a video of what is being posted here and is pretty much self explanatory1 Didn't believe it myself until I saw this
