May I ask what program you used for those screen shots?

Side note:I was also pretty sure the guy that posted the video said it was falling as well. Sure looked like it to me.

I used Microsoft Worldwide Telescope. It's a good program.

I shall ask 1 question.

What would a jet with a contrail flying at high altitude look like if it was flying away from you?

Would it not appear to be "falling"?

Yes I know what you are talking about.
Here is what I'm talking about.
The photos in the above video were taken by one photographer.
Many of them of a similar 'meteor' or 'contrail' event.
However the description is that the object did not move in the
sky for quite a long time. Looks like from after noon to evening.
And don't forget the most recent type of ship called the triangle.
Some how a dual light show ether snake eyes and perhaps
these columns of illuminated air/vapor.
They don't seem to make the regular moving trail so appears stuck
in the sky.
Just saying the other side of a moving contrail is one set up
by a stationary unknown.
I'll go for a stationary unknown in at least the photo captures
and in similar cases.
As far as NASA tether video the triangles seem evident as well
as again being the most recent, 1980s, identified unknown craft and
fits better than oval craft and flat craft and even flying wing
craft from the Hudson valley.

You say its an unknown jet.
You know its a jet.
But we can't see its a jet we just assume its a jet.
I assume a flaming triangle as the unknown spotted in Belgium in the 80s.

Doesnt seem like an asteroid, nor a comet, nor a contrail....
but i guess the most reasonable choice would be 'contrail', even thought the videographer said it was "falling".

But I wont pretend like i know for sure, like some people...

Lets assume for the sake of argument that it really is a normal jet contrail lit up by a setting sun (hence the orange color). Perhaps the videographer took the forward motion of the plane -- directly away from him towards the horizon -- as a "falling" object.

Just because the videographer said it was "falling" doesn't mean he didn't mistake the a plane flying toward the horizon as an object moving "downward". When a plane is flying away from the observer toward the horizon, it can in fact look like it is "falling" -- or at least it can look like it's flying "downward".

EDIT: I see now that Cadwickus basically said this exact same thing -- sorry Chad.

Why does it seem that people can video just about anything in the sky, call it a UFO or Meteor!, post it on YouTube, and people believe them?

It's like a lot humans are just monkeys with shrunken frontal lobes. Grow a brain people. There are UFO's out there, but there are also hoaxers, your duty is to be able to distinguish between the two.

I'm sorry -- your post sounded so definite -- I didn't realize you are simply speculating.

Obviously I can't see the jet airliner, either -- but my speculation is based on a commonly seen everyday occurrence -- a jet airliner with a contrail flying toward the horizon. Obviously it could be some sort of secret plane, but I see no reason to suspect that it isn't anything more than an airliner.

Why do you speculate that is isn't just exactly what it looks like -- a normal plane?

Like the saying goes: If it walks like a duck, acts like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is most likely a duck. You seem to be saying that a waddling, quacking, water-bird with a flat bill and webbed feet could actually be a sparrow.

I have a video of photographs of a similar event.
From afternoon to evening the similar flames were seen and became larger
without moving.
This is a strange plane at least.
I think perhaps a Tesla ship.
A hovering plane or Triangle.

It kind of reminds me of this video which to me isnt contrails.

although i think the two are easily confused with one another.

That one looks like its moving but sending out a lot of disturbed atmosphere.
The special craft does more than heat up the atmosphere as with an exhaust.
The whole ship vibrates in such a way with electrical pulses that might heat
up or light up parts of the ship.
The ships are so fast why is it being seen at all.
OK one point for a stuck plane.
I'll say something different along the line of a ship we know little about.
With a theory that there are two systems involved, one for hover and one
for side maneuvers there might be problems and looks like safe mode
is staying in hover and avoiding crashing which I did hear of from Mr. Lyne
but don't know if recent withing a few years or in the past.

My wife and I drive long haul. She saw this falling to earth around 05:30 am. I-90 east bound. The image is taken through the front of the windshield @ 06:18. She watched it for 4 hours and it seemed not to move, like it was in a geo sync orbit. When I got up she showed me the photos, then said "oh look, it is still up!" I got my canon with a telephoto lens and took the following images. I blew one up and adjusted the color levels in Photoshop to see if I could get some detail of the craft. My dad and I have been discussing the results for days now. I just found this link tonight a had to post this for you all. The images from Canada are exactly what we saw in Idaho. To be more specific, she watched this from the Washington and Idaho border almost to Missoula Montana before it was out of sight. This might have been the NASA X-43 SCRAM Jet Drone flying at 100,000 feet.
