Tired of mindless zombies!

Hello ATS!
Since this is my introduction post I'm going to tell you a bit about myself and why I decided to join this site. I'm a 25 year old male living solo and loving it. I work part time, its a low wage retail job but it covers my living expenses and I still have some extra money to spend as I please at the end of each month, If you're wondering how that's possible on a part time job keep reading.

I never went to college, in fact I never finished high school. I believe in living a simple life and that's what I do. I have no debt to pay, no student loans, no car loans, no credit cards, no stress. Just have to cover my very basic living expenses. I'm about as "free" as one can get while living in the modern world. I also have enough free time to observe things and see whats really going on in this crazy world of ours.

I have probably learned more in my years visiting this site then most people learn after spending $30,000.+ for a college education. I know that here I can connect with people knowledgeable on just about any subject. As the title states I'm tired of being around people that don't have a clue, hence why I joined.

I'm the same age and can tell you that there is a good chance this is true. My college education was not a waste of money, but it's not as fundamental to happy life/intelligent mind as many would have you believe.

Yea I've come to the conclusion that the schooling system is down the drain. If you want to learn. Read some books, your not going to find it in a classroom. Classrooms are for government regulated tests these days.

I am so glad to know I'm not the only one picking up Aussie phrases and using them. Ever since I started reading this site I've been saying things like that too.

I feel the same. Ignore them as they choose to ignore the truth.Step by them, hold your gaze upon the shining truth that beconds. Help those that genuinely ask for help. Do not be a matyr, your mission is too important. Raise and hold the frequency.reply to post by MarkyMark

That's a coping mechanism and I can respect that. Learning doesn't always mean debunking UFO debunkers and disscussing "orbs" in random photographs (which is a large portion of ATS). If you can design a working diesel engine, yes, you have an education. If you can compose a poem in classic Arabic, yes, you do. If you congratulate yourself for hanging out on the Web, no, you don't.

On the other hand, thoughtful, intelligent zombies are a refreshing pleasure. You'll find many of those on ATS.

I would like to clarify my comment about college. Its not that I look down on a college education, I simply don't agree with the sacrifices people have to make to get the education. Of course, that"s just my personal opinion.
