Hi...I'm new...I'm a student in the uk.
I read ats and other forums as a byestander of sorts and don't ever join/post.
However, after reading a few threads over the last few months (and being a 'fan' of this site)I thought I'd post what I just saw.
I went out for a smoke...please note it's both dark and very cloudy. Where I live there is air traffic flying to Bristol Airport.
...so, I'm having a smoke and I see a very faint light in the clouds that's moving very fast...in circles, up down, diagonally...disappearing and
coming back into view. Over the last 5 minutes of watching it, I've seen it change from a yellow light to a blue light, getting bigger/smaller as it
nears/leaves sight. As there's been a 'break' in the clouds I caught a very distinct blue light briefly.
I know how fast a plane goes, I often see them at night while out smoking (and in the day)...this was 'faster' than a plane....it's covering the
same/more distance literally in seconds as a plane covers in 5 minutes (it wasn't military either....there's no sound out there, planes have
engines!), and still remains in view.
....what it looks like in perspective...if you imagine those big sky searching spotlights....it was about that size, but as I say....covering a huge
distance, and changing colour...plus not following the same path like a light would...and travelling much faster than they can.
I don't know what it was...suffice to say it wasn't a plane and anyone who is interested/who might be able to look up and see...something's there.
