You know what I really hate about this movie, its so politically biased it makes me sick. Dont get me wrong Im not a republican by any means, but I also dont like the Dems much either though. Now I did like Bowling for Columbine mainly because it was more a social statement than a political one, anything that is politically driven in my opinion is totally propeganda.

With that being said I didn't see a whole lot of hard evidence in the movie, all I saw was a whiney yuppie complaining about our current president, who mind you Im no big fan of, and continuing to give the impression that he's on the same side as the average joe. But the truth is he's a rich white Democrat who cares only for himself.

What gets me is... if you "bash" Moore... or even show anything other than enthusiasm for him.. you are automatically labled a Bush supporter. People have to be one way or the other. There is very little gray here from what I've seen. What if someone just doesn't like Moore's style? What if someone doesn't like the way he manipulates the facts to further his own agenda regardless of that agenda? What if someone just plain thinks he stinks as a movie maker? Dislike of one doesn't automatically mean support of another.

I saw his Daily Show interview and it was pretty funny. When Stewart asked him about editing and manipulating footage, Moore said "... the same thing you do here every night!" and everyone laughed, at which point Moore did the worship thing to Stewart calling him the master. Thing is, Stewart isn't claiming to make a factual documentary and Moore is. HOWEVER, Moore admitted outright that "the facts are the facts, but the opinion is mine". So he admits to the manipulation and such and to it being about furthering his opinions. It's what every movie maker does, whether it's political or entertainment.

What I find disturbing isn't just Moore bashing, but EVERYTHING bashing. You're either right or left, black or white, for or against, pro-life or pro-choice. There is no dialogue, no gray. Ask a question and you get, not an answer, but an entire political ideology complete with slogans and catch-phrases. It's no longer about each person having the right to feel as they do. It's about feeling something and being willing to belittle, bash, insult and bully others into agreeing with you no matter which side of the fence you're on. It's a hindrance.

Recently, certain military members have gotten into trouble for speaking out against the president, so I will just follow my mother's advise. I don't have nothin' nice to say, so I wont say nothin' at all.

Does that mean I'm a Moore supporter? Hell no!

While I havn't seen his newest movie (I live in the bible belt, in a rural community, and its not playing in any theater within 45 min. drive of here), I'm sure I will enjoy it more than I did Bowling for Coulombine.

I'ts not the guys liberal slant that make me hate him any more than other liberals out there, its the shady things he does, shady things that hurt people.

Just as one example, he made it a point to demonstrate how easy it was for him to buy handgun ammo in Canada, showing us it is the American people, NOT the Wal-Mart he got the ammo from, that are fault. In the same film, he showed how he forced K-Mart to stop selling ammo! Well, who's fault is it, the people or the dealer? Is it the American mindset or the distributers? All he did was cause K-mart to loose revenue, and I'm sure that didn't help to create American jobs. Cute little stunt, plenty of that liberal emotion we have become so fond of, but who did it help? And this from the party that claims that big buisiness hurts the little guy. Plenty of little guys no longer have a job at K-mart selling handgun ammo.

Most of what he proposes treats the symptom. He never gives a solution to the ROOT PROBLEM.

Sorry, I know this was about a different movie, but I just couldn't resist throwing in about that man.
