Why does everyone believe the world is going to Hell?

Since about the early '90s, the general opinion is that the world today is not as good as it was in the past (past usually meaning anywhere from the 1800s to 1980s).

The fact is, the world actually has a lot less violence today than it did any time in the 20th century, not counting chemtrailing and other things done to destroy our health by the NWO. People are far more accepting of non-mainstream lifestyles and other points of view. The music sucks, but that's not really a big issue compared to everything else.

Maybe it's our mental health? People definitely seem more depressed today (think grunge, emo) than they did in the past.

I think because we now have the technology to destroy this planet, and I'm not just talking nukes, people may have a little unnecessary anxiety. With that being said, I don't think we are any worse off than the generations before us, I just think it is what it is. Do I think there were much better times? Absolutely, but I also believe there much worse times too.

Some people may blame the NWO but through out history, certain influences have always struggled for power over the people. With that being said, I think that our modern PTB are so efficient, having learned the lessons of tyrants and leaders past, that our control is more damning than ever. Some people might say that we are more free than ever but that isn't really true and just our perception. All isn't as it seems.

For the generations before ours, control was done physically and TPTB would just control your actions, though today our very minds are being controlled (not necessarily intentional). What makes this worse, is that we believe we are free. Even with that, some people are controlled physically. Just ask the poor sap who is sitting in a jail cell for a plant.

I don't think it's just now. All throughout history people have felt impending doom. It's always just right around the corner or next year. The only sad thing is someday they will be right.

I don't think the world is "going to Hell".

I am relatively optimistic about the future of the planet. It is more peaceful than at any point for decades and I see the bastions of dictatorship and oppression being challenged and feel that their future is somewhat less certain. Oh, I am worried about the environment and the rape of our Earth and I do have concerns about the human rights in countries like China and Iran, but on the whole I don’t see it all going to pot. I am richer than my parents, my children will be doubtlessly richer than me and will have greater opportunity and social mobility. I can travel pretty much anywhere I like and I am content with my freedoms although I am admittedly frustrated by some government policy – but that’s life. I am as vulnerable as the next guy to economic catastrophe, but then I don’t think there will be economic catastrophe.

Besides, there are people on these Boards who think the game is up in 2012 (they have the evidence). If not 2012, then 2013 or was it 2014, although the alien invasion and comet strike of 2009 seemed to have passed me by. If these doom mongers are right then why bother about the future?

So i guess raping the planet for all its resources for mankind to use like yesterday whilst not thinking long term for humanity survival dosent come into your mind i guess. Not to mention the wanton destruction of other denizens of this planets habitats and not to mention the mass killings of animals for sport, over fishing, slaughter of the great beasts for chinese medicines, toxic waste beind dumped into the oceans or just plain dumped poisoning the local habitats and the list goes on....What people fail to realise is that humankind depends on a healthy planet to survive for long periods.....

I think it that feeling might come from seeing the generally crappy and selfish attitude of the average human being these days.
Road rage, school shootings, horrific things done to children (and sometimes by their own parents), nuclear weapons, no one even says "thank you" anymore when you hold a door open for them, on and on and on........
All this stuff either didn't exist (or at least to this degree) 50 or 60 or 70 years ago......
Do you guys remember after 9/11, how people were a little bit nicer, a little more polite, a little more helpful? I do. It was great. I thought "Well maybe something good can actually come out of this horror.Maybe people will finally start to change..."
Well, that lasted for about 6 or 7 months and then everybody went right back to being the same jerks they were before..........

Check that...reverse it.... "Hell Is Coming To The World" or should I say, has been here for some time....

Yes i agree the world is going to 'hell', why do i say that? There is NO respect for your fellow man. There is little care left in the world. Children are not being taught morals or principles, religion has become an extreme cause of most problems on th MSM, The economy is failing but the citizens are being punished, There are so many 'rights' that you can barely do anything without it being 'wrong' or 'a disgrace'. There is little individuality left in the world, everybody wants to be someone else, dress like them, speak like them, live like them. The world is false and its getting worse. I think this is why people feel something is going to happen because it surely cant keep going like this....can it????????

The media and peoples relliance on it has propelled this world image into a joke and i despise what the MSM and governments of this world have done to this beautiful planet and its people.

I think people feel that way because no one likes change and nothing can compare to the past looked at through the rose colored glasses of your youth.

When you're 80, you'll think wistfully about your youth and wonder why things had to change.

In my own opinion id say this world is full of grief and suffering. For some reason bad things affect people 100x more the good things, When i was a child i thought there was a balance " an eye for an eye" boy was I wrong. So in my own mental reality we are already in hell.
From the moment your born some one owns you and are never free (not talking about parents) Money is required to live free.
