Was it evolution, or revolution?

This should be interesting, as I discussed this issue in another thread of mine with other members, I stated that evolution could be conscious, that would mean evolution is simply revolution, that the consciousness decides to change, and the change occurs.

So it wasn't random, it was conscious, as new study shows similarities between political evolution and biological evolution.

Since political evolution is conscious based, that makes a lot of sense, that biological evolution must also be conscious based. In that sense, it there is sudden evolution (hence revolution), then there is progressive evolution (American political system slowly changing, not random, but conscious).

I have come to the conclusion that evolution is conscious, now my next step is to find out where this consciousness comes from?

Is every cell constructing a human body similar to every human being constructing a nation?

To leave you with some certainty in regards to the subject at hand:

POLITICAL structures evolve in much the same way as biological species, according to new research. And just as species can decline and vanish without warning, unstable political groupings can also degrade and disappear.

So what are your thoughts on this?

Is biological evolution random?

Are cells conscious?

If cells were capable of consciousness we'd find ourselves being ripped into smaller pieces with each new cellular schism, upheaval, or political disagreement.

Besides, I have billions and billions of cells and I don't want any of them to be itty bitty Glen Becks.

As for evolution... I don't believe there is a rhyme or reason to it, IE there is no conscious deliberation involved. It's more a function of environmental effect. We adapt to our environment, but not with conscious intent.

Sadly you don't understand evolution.

You need to understand evolution and see that it is truth.

I don't think that evolution works on a flat rate...like say, your phone plan.

No wine before it's time...and no wine before its time.

Evolution happens to sustain life, AND to increase the capacity of mind in matter.

Before all the nay-sayers start heckling, I'm not going into great detail on this, I will provide a link and you can read for yourself. Be warned, it is a long read.

Yes evolution doesn't work on a flat rate, that is because of the environment, compare biological evolution to political evolution.

Look at the politics of the US within a century and see how it has changed, the change is not necessarily good, hence since 9/11 the political evolution of USA has caused it to suffer. US is in a downward trend, from being a dominant specie.

I have been trying all my life to consciously evolve super powers, and this hasn't worked at all.
If you have the secret, let me know!

Dumbest link. Ever.

Someone had to call it for what it was.

CANCER can retreat and even disappear in some patients - even, very rarely, without any treatment.

Cancer "cures" can also be attributed to misdiagnosis.

Aside from that, spontaneous remission is not indicative of cells being aware. It is merely indicative of an immune system functioning properly.

Both makes sense.

It just adds more weight on my theory, including the many other pieces of puzzle, for example sudden evolution.

Take my theory in to consideration, criticize it or see it in the light of other info, see if it makes sense or not.

If it doesn't make sense in the light of another info, theory or fact, then let me know.

Thanks, if you take this discussion to the next level

that the consciousness decides to change, and the change occurs.

What consciousness? Surely you don't think a single-celled organism has a consciousness do you? Also, evolution works on the genetic level. A being cannot wish ITSELF to change genetically, the changes come from reproduction and genetic variation over the course of multiple generations.

I have come to the conclusion that evolution is conscious, now my next step is to find out where this consciousness comes from?

Evolution is not conscious, otherwise a species would never go extinct would it? There wouldn't be so many evolutionary dead ends or flaws within organisms if it were not a random process. Cells do not possess a complex brain and therefore probably cannot have consciousness, however the next time you come face to face with one of your cells you could consider asking them to help you grow wings, perhaps they'd spread the word and help you out
