Same UFO Filmed, Same Day, Different Place - 10-10-10

Well i have to say, i think night time UFO footage is dead. Its going to take something pretty spectacular to please the sceptics now, with all these LED R.C planes and kites etc. Its far too easy for them to point to one of these devices and theres not a lot you can say really. They'd probably be right, most of them will be and once one or two have been proven so. Its going to be hard to persuade people otherwise.

I cant remember the last decent daylight footage ive seen. I think that where people should start to focus there attentions again. Theres too many variables at night now.

Nnoooo....but if you listen to the dialogue in one of the videos you can hear one of the guys say that a national guard helicopter is in the air, how he came to that conclusion or who told him that is beyond me.

Well you could be correct, that no R/C does not make no noise. But I see one problem in your comments. I have watched this footage quite a few times and I also have sat with the footage running in the background but in a different window, allowing me the visual blinders that I need to listen without the ability of seeing. first of all I am not sure how you can tell that it is not making sound? I hear all of the normal street noise that happens in the big city, along with the noise from a patrolling helicopter. But yes I can't hear the sound of an R/C plane with all of that darn background noise.

He claimed a military helicopter was following the convoy. Why does he think it is a military helicopter? It could be any type of helicopter that normally flies in that area... He also claimed to hear the helicopter on that video, I don't hear any helicopter.

All there is, is comments about a helicopter being in the area. Correlation does not prove causation. There is a helicopter flying over my house right now, can I just jump to a conclusion and say it's because I am talking about the UFO?

Learn about sound, and how louder sounds interfere with softer sounds. In the video you have people talking, a helicopter in the background, etc... all of that sound will interfere with the sound of the aircraft and you wouldn't hear it. It was being drowned out.

...there are some parts of the video where you can't hear the plane at all. This is because the sound is dissipating over the distance.

Your first video was of a gas powered plane. Those are louder. The "ufo" plane was most probably electric which are very very quiet.

It's common sense really.

just want to say a few words about the sound of planes, helicopters, r/c planes etc etc...

first of all i live in hull england, i live about 5 minutes walk from the city centre, there are regular overflights of eurofighter typhoons during the day and sometimes at night, there is also a very busy police helicopter attached to the area, now in my flat i can hear the things loud as hell, you ever heard a eurofighter?. those things are absolutely unmistakable, and as you are from america ill say that the eurofighter sounds a lot like an F-18 hornet which i also know the sound of as ive been to various air shows such as farnborough and r.i.a.t.

but anyway, the eurofighter is one of the loudest and most unmistakable planes you can hear and i hear it in my flat on a regular basis but if i walk down to the city centre which is 5 minutes away then i cannot hear them at all, ive never heard them in the city centre as the noise is drowned out!.

so how do people expect to hear an r/c plane at a bit of a distance?. there are allsorts of reasons why something like that might not be heard, distance, wind current, air pressure, and always the possibility it may be an r/c glider or a reasonably quiet electric fan type!.

im not saying is or isn't but im just pointing out a few possibilities on sound.

The convoy video is complete garbage. I noticed that some users on this thread and the prior thread that was closed were debating too much on the merits of the convoy video. What we are trying to figure out is what the blue light was in the other videos. After looking at all the footage, the local media take on it and the fact that I'm from the area where all this non sense happened and I'm started to lean more on the RC theory. I drove to GG to where it all happened and started to ask some random people if they saw the event and mostly their reply was yes and it was some idiot flying an RC plane who will have to explain himself to GG law enforcement.

Thank you for that informed post about the sound.

I like to think of sound as ripples and waves on water. When you make really small ripples in the water, and then you make large waves in the water, the large waves cancel out mostly all of the small ripples. Sound is the same, louder sounds cancel out softer sounds.

IMHO... Yes it was silent ive watched over 50 youtube videos of RCs "around" the same distance and with as much backround noise and you can still hear & see (in wave form) the buzzing & Hi Freq sound they make, not to mention the FACT that this so called rc bigger than the helicopter would also need a bigger engine resulting in lots more noise emission, oh and the fact the thing would then also be called a helicopter not a RC, the thing is silent or near silent, so right there things don't add up, being a sound engineer/producer i have very well trained ears this thing must have been near silent or completly silent end of, in all of the now many 10-10-10 sightings zip, nothing, nothing at all but distant roads & cars & people, oh and 1 helicopter,

How can anybody say thats an RC or kite based on thos 3 facts?

whats the police saying & who was the pilots in the chopper, wheres the onbored IR footage from the chopper they was clearly chasing or watching that object along with the thousands of witnesses if they did not get an IR or any form of video recording of the object them selfs then its pretty certain the pilots in the helicopter was on meth...

no problem, something i also should have said is about the microphone on the camera that recorded it, a lot can depend on that, it may have noise cancellation or anything on it that might affect what sound it picks up and at what distance, example is a headset for a computer or phone, a lot of them will only pick up localised sound and may not pick up anything at a relatively short distance. or a video camera may have some protection against wind noise that may have an affect.

but a lot of people when commenting on these kind of videos just seem to make assumptions that if they can't hear anything then its not making a noise! lol

i know the debunking crew dont like witneses reports but

The police said it was a 5 foot wingspan RC aircraft.

People on the ground are very bad at estimating sizes of objects flying in the sky, especially at night because they don't know how high the object is. The solid black background doesn't give anyone a good idea of distance / height.

A bird flying at 20 feet will appear bigger than a helicopter flying at 1000 feet. It's all about perspective.

Can you verify that? 2 hours? Can you prove the craft didn't land and get the batteries swapped?

Even then...RC airplanes can glide if there is enough wind, and use very little power. There is video of the "ufo" turning the lights on and off, so the lights were not on for 2 hours. Even then, many LED flashlights can last longer than 2 hours.

Also, many people are fitting their RC aircraft with multiple battery packs and are able to switch to these packs when they need them. Others just buy very large batteries, and very efficient electronics which allow them to fly multiple hours. It all depends on the RC plane... obviously it was a hobbyist since there is accessory lights added. Who knows what modifications they added on that thing. It is totally possible to fly 2 - 3 hours.

That was a trick of perspective. People are horrible at measuring things that are in the sky because there is no reference. A 5 inch balloon at 50 feet will be twice the size of a jumbo jet at 30000 feet. If you didn't know it was a balloon, you wouldn't be able to know the size, and it would look like a gigantic sphere, bigger than a jet.

It wasn't faster... It was closer to the people than the helicopter was, so it may have appear faster. All the videos I saw it was flying just the right speed as an RC aircraft.

Don't know anything about lights in the vids here, but last winter i was outside with my dog late, and i looked up to what was a really beautiful sight of stars and one star directly above me started to move and disappeared in about 5 seconds or so... where i live no one owns an RC plane, so i have no idea what that may be.

Oh and the one guy here mentioned that today there should be alien space ships over the major cities or stuff?
Well, i live in a little town, but haven't seen no spaceships at all

the person he was speaking to on the phone told him that. I'm not sure what the difference is but here in the UK i'm not sure we could tell the difference in the dark from the ground, unless it was an army copter with guns and stuff
