Is Hollywood Preparing Us for an Alien Invasion? Several New Movies soon to be released before 2012!

Like it or not, Hollywood has always partisapated (sorry) in the war effort. This current and past decade has been rife with movies involving the American war effort and the phenomenon of 2012.
Now, just prior to 2012, Hollywood is releasing several UFO/Alien invasion movies. They include;
Battle :Los Angeles, from Sony, in 2011,
Skyline, similar to the above movie also in 2011.
Confidential Alien Project, from Paramount that deals with abduction.
Cowboys and Aliens, by DreamWorks, starring Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig in 2011.
And,
I Am Number Four, also by DreamWorks, about aliens disguised as humans to avoid detection from an enemy alien species, also to be released in 2011.
Perhaps this is just good marketing to take advantage of the mystery surrounding 2012.
Maybe, may not.

I know....how about they are capitalizing on Americas alien paranoia?

It's about damn time! There hasn't been any good alien related films in ages.

The only decent science fiction film I've seen recently has been Inception (which sets the bar pretty high).

A question; what is it with (some) Americans that makes them think TV/film fiction is in fact a drip-feed of real information?

Cant wait to see these films,love films about Aliens.Sure i heard somewhere theres also a movie about the Anunnaki being made...hope so.

I too think these movies are made to inform the general public about ET life in our universe in some way...but the alien invasion theme i think is purely for entertainment.

I'd love to see a Fourth Kind sequel....or even a CE:3K sequel....

The Annuaki movie was a false movie, they created all that for some class, its not gonna happen

Isn't skyline released this november 12th? or is it cause its so near the end of the year you call it 2011? or am I living in a different reality? time zone? that last bit is a joke.

Not just aliens. Anna Chapman the russian spy 1 of 10 spies caught in the US. Sure that the news story happened only in the last few months yet a film was made and released just a few months ago with angelina jolie, SALT

If I remember correctly, the movie Pearl Harbor came out a little before 9/11, which some have called the modern day Pearl Harbor...hmm, pretty interesting.

Hollywood does have a way with capitalizing on the current UFO / 2012 thing. But you have to admit, their seems to be an increase in UFO threads and 2012 related topics here on ATS.
