Just moments ago, an earthquake measuring 6.3 in magnitude struck an area located at 24.286°N, 125.305°E, which is near the Southwestern Ryukyu Islands in Japan. We have yet to get any reports from around the area, however, there is likely no major damage. The earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 22.3 miles beneath the earth’s surface.
