It makes perfect sense, these were the 10 best kept weapons, 99,9% fail-safe. They know that we know the chances of all 10 failing is practically
zero.
It's a wake up call, "look, your technology doesn't mean s**t to us"
If NORAD can't use their weapons, other countries know their own weapons are fallible too.
The only problem i have is, why didn't they stop the bombs at Nagasaki & Hiroshima? Maybe they just wanted to see if we would actually do it. Or they
thought it was another test. Who knows?
If they would not intervene at Hiroshima then why do so now?
Maybe they are just following their own Prime Directive
