What is our nature? What are we at our core?
God is Light.
The same light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
You are the light of the world.
(1John 1:5, John 1:9, Matthew 5:14)
We are an individual piece of Divine light that has sparked off the Source Creator Spirit. That is our nature, what we are at the core of our being.
That is the picture that the above 3 bible verses creates and supports. Very clean and simple. And truth!
------
But what of most Christian theology? Most dogma will tell you that all men are born with a sinful nature. This is foundational to the entire belief
system. You're going to hell and need a Saviour because of this. But, it's not true.
'You are the light of the world' was said by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount to a random gathering of people. Christians take this verse for
themselves and say it only applies to them, after they are born again. Nope, Jesus said it to a random collection of people gathered on a
mountainside, representative of all human beings. He said it to all and it applies to all. The Light lights every man that comes into the world.
You, you who are reading this, are the light of the world.
Now this may seem a small thing, a tiny thread. But sit with it. And as you tug on that thread it will rent a hole in the garment large enough for
you to walk through. Most of us go to religion because we ask, Who am I, Why am I here? The answer we are given in Christianity is ultimately, you
are a sinner and you're here to get saved by a saviour. Why we are not told the truth, I don't know. Perhaps it's a conspiracy.
We are a divine chunk of light split off of and lit by the Source Light. We are usually asleep to the awesomeness of that. But awakening is
happening now. We are, one by one, realizing that we are one with the One, and that we are all one. Fear not. Peace to you.
