After doing much research, I've come to the conclusion that we have, in fact, reached "peak oil." This explains (with a multitude of documentation
to back it up) why this administration is so hell-bent on such a muscular foreign policy. The oil barrons have taken control.
Peak oil means that the USA, China, Russian and the rest will be vying for the world's remaining energy reserves. We can expect endless war. Why?
Because those in control refuse to relinquish their power for the good of their countries. They would rather send their unwashed masses to their
deaths to occupy and control the countries like Iraq who posess enuff reserves to see us through - at least until their wretched lives expire. (20-30
years.)
Of course we have the ability - at least - to figure out alternatives to gas, to move our vehicles. The powers that be won't allow it, however. Does
anyone think for a moment we don't? If you believe we put a man on the moon, than you must believe that would be a pretty simple equation to
master.
The biggest problem, with regards to fuel, is the fact that industrialized nations were built on the use of oil. If we shifted to alternative forms,
we would have to re-outfit everything insustrial. That would be a mammoth effort, to say the least. Should we? I say, hell yeah. Why not? Why
shouldn't we at least try?
The beauty of the Unites States of America is that when we put our minds together for a common cause, there is nothing we can't do.
Our government doesnt give a damn about 'we the people' unfortunately. Our destruction be damned. They can live in their secret underground bunkers
through nuclear war and plagues and whatever else war brings on. They will remain largely unscathed by their murderous policies.
The best thing we can do, is (a) at least try and pressure our government into responding to this impending disaster by implementing real change; and
(b) get ready for the worst! Do whatever you can think of to get yourself and your loved ones prepared for the calamity. Unless our government gets
honest and gets with it, dark days lie ahead for us. There is no two ways about it. It could very well boil down to literal survival of the fittest -
in the not-so-distant future.
