Why so much coverage?

Human interest piece.

That's why.

Probably because it ushers in ratings and people like to watch it. Also, because if they report on UFOs, then they don't have to report on the more dire consequences of our current socio-political and socio-economic situation. In other words, it's a way to avoid the more pressing political conditions that are shackling the feet of freedom, liberty and justice.

I'm not saying that UFOs aren't important, only that showing a couple videos of them is, especially when our Constitution is being subverted, our liberty taken away, our politics infested with corruption and our lack of any kind of opposition movement thanks to the very propagandic institutions such as FOX, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WSJ, etc...

However, Media never seem to be able to talk about anything else than Politics, politics and more politics, topped with some gossip.
It is a sleepingpill, it really is, and there are ALOT of other things they could report about- such as the UFO-Phenomena- but usually don't, other than now and then, so this is clearly a positive change.

More talk about politics and gossip and people will eventually fall in permanent coma out of pure boredom.
