whats pretty weird to me is the word "Thug"

thuggee member of a well-organized confederacy of professional assassins who traveled in gangs throughout India for several hundred years. (The earliest authenticated mention of the thugs is found in Ziya'-ud-Din Barani, History of Firuz Shah, dated about 1356.) The thugs would insinuate themselves into the confidence of wayfarers and, when a favourable opportunity presented itself, strangle them by throwing a handkerchief or noose around their necks. They then plundered and buried them. All this was done according to certain ancient and rigidly prescribed forms and after the performance of special religious rites, in which the consecration of the pickax and the sacrifice of sugar formed a prominent part. Although the thugs traced their origin to seven Muslim tribes, Hindus appear to have been associated with them at an early period; at any rate, their religious creed and practices as worshipers of Kali, the Hindu goddess of destruction, showed no influence of Islam. The fraternity possessed a jargon of its own (Ramasi) and signs by which its members recognized each other

i think its pretty crazy how some people run around today rob, steal, kill and call themselves thugs and and i also read that these thuggees used to put these jewels and gold that they plundered in their mouths to hide them.. My opinion is that the music industry has been overrun by a certain few who in the name of culture get the masses to perform rituals.. a few million people at any any givin moment summoning ancient spirits and energy's..
but hey its not only the music industry if you think about it..

and i also had read that Hiphop pioneer Russell Simmons Co Founder Of DefJam had a giant statue of Kali in his basement where he prays and meditates...

Wow, got a few more replies while sleeping this is great!

Just check out that video of Kanye West.
At first, I didn't think I was going to be able to hear anything, cause everything he says sounds mumbled, and its hard to hear above all the screaming fans in the background.
But nope.
"sold my soul to the devil" is one of the only things he said in the video that I could actually hear.
Funky stuff!

Checking out the other videos right now.

While I take my sweet ass time replying to the rest of the posts that I've missed,
here's another artist who's saying some interesting stuff.
:3

Wow...you just freaked me out! I just released an album myself that's completely based on conspiracies, actually very inspired by this very site...I would hate to think that I'll just "disappear".

I know it happens to people, but I guess in my head, I just think; It's just my take on what I've found in life and on the internet...is it really that secret if I can find it on the internet? ATS is quite popular, I tend to think if knowing the information contained here was dangerous, it wouldn't exist, because they wouldn't allow it too....but what do I know?

So I'm going to share "me", because I know for 100% fact that it's based completely on the secret world we live in. You can stream the whole album for free. Enjoy

Along the lines of 'conscious' rap music, if you guys like good hip hop, you will like Immortal Technique

and some more of that live hippie rap. On the political tip. Pure Light.

When I was growing up I had befriended a few gang members and looked at some of the imagery that is used with gang insignias and graffiti. I noticed there was an occult premise to much of it. In fact a lot of them celebrated Hitler which never made sense to me....

That's awesome!
I'm going to check it out right now.

And it is a scary thought...
Though... I haven't heard of any musicians disappearing lately, so we should be fine.
Not only that but like you said, ATS is popular, and so is other stuff on the internet talking about conspiracies.
Controlling information when we've got the internet is impossible.

Not only that but, most of the stuff being thrown out there lately, is really basic stuff.
I think you would be safe from danger until you started getting really deep into it, uncovering new stuff, and get a lot of publicity.

I've been listening for Immortal Technique for a few years now, I'm glad someone brought them up.

&I'm checking out more by GFE right now, I definitely like what I hear. Surprisingly I haven't heard of these guys before..

As for 'conscious' hip hop, this is what I've been hearing most out of all other genres lately.
I'm not sure if this is just becoming more of a trend in this genre more than others, or if it's simply cause of the fact that all my boyfriend listens to is hiphop/rap/dubstep. lol
Either way, I enjoy it a lot, and its opening me up to hiphop a lot more than I was before.

Found out about Dimmu Borgir randomly through a friend about 2 weeks ago actually. Their music does blow my mind. The one music video I saw by them (not sure which song), blew my mind as well. It was almost... epic. LOL.
NOFX is always good, and I'll check out those other two soon!

more food for thought/ear candy:

Secta 7
(Check out the artists in this group, they all are great outside of Secta 7)

And here's a cool little series I found on youtube:

Some of it makes a lot of sense, some of it I don't believe.
But at the same time, I can't say how I feel about all of it, because my youtube keeps crapping out and not loading properly... SO I haven't finished watching past part 3 yet.

(I'm doing my best to reply to most of the posts on here, and to add more stuff, but I'm distracted by this strange herb in front of me, and sorting through all the music I have is taking a fair bit of time.)

Glad you liked GFE. They've got some great music, for sure. Intelligent stuff. Check out their myspace and facebook and whatnot. they describe their music as "eating mushrooms in a broken time machine at an anti war rally."

anyway, i'm not a big fan of this next group, but you might all find it interesting that they had planned on releasing this album, with them on the cover blowing up the world trade center (with music) on 9-11-01. they held the release and changed the artwork, obviously, but what are the chances??

here's what the cover looks like:

67.19.222.106...

They have some better songs than this, but this is the only one i could find with the original cover artwork.

Not sure if they're on the good side or the bad, but here are some lyrics from popular musicians that have made me wonder if something's up in the music industry:

Led Zeppelin's "Carouselambra" makes me think of Atlantis, Orion ('hunter'), and the Pleiadeans (Nordic aliens, 'sisters'). I'd trim it, but I don't want to leave any out:

"Sisters of the way-side bide their time in quiet peace,
Await their place within the ring of calm;
Still stand to turn in seconds of release,
Await the call they know may never come.
In times of lightness, no intruder dared upon
To jeopardize the course, upset the run;
And all was joy and hands were raised toward the sun
As love in the halls of plenty overrun.

Still in their bliss unchallenged mighty feast,
Unending dances shadowed on the day.
Within their walls, their daunting formless keep,
Preserved their joy and kept their doubts at bay.
Faceless legions stood in readiness to weep,
Just turn a coin, bring order to the fray;
And everything is soon no sooner thought than deed,
But no one seemed to question in anyway.

How keen the storied hunter's eye prevails upon the land
To seek the unsuspecting and the weak;
And powerless the fabled sat, too smug to lift a hand
Toward the foe that threatened from the deep.
Who cares to dry the cheeks of those who saddened stand
Adrift upon a sea of futile speech?
And to fall to fate and make the 'status plan'
Where was your word, where did you go?
Where was your helping, where was your bow? Bow.
Dull is the armour, cold is the day.
Hard was the journey, dark was the way. Way.
I heard the word; I couldn't stay. Oh.
I couldn't stand it another day, another day,
Another day, another day.

Touched by the timely coming,
Roused from the keeper's sleep,
Release the grip, throw down the key.

Held now within the knowing,
Rest now within the peace.
Take of the fruit, but guard the seed.

They had to stay!

Held now within the knowing,
Rest now within the beat.
Take of the fruit, but guard the seed."

"Achilles Last Stand":

"Oh Albion remains, sleeping now to rise again

Wandering & wandering, What place to rest the search
The mighty arms of Atlas, Hold the heavens from the earth

The mighty arms of Atlas, Hold the heavens from the earth
From the earth.

I know the way, know the way, know the way, know the way"

Others:
Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower"
Most of Syd Barrett's lyrics (Solo and w/ Pink Floyd)
Alan Parsons Project lyrics
Joni Mitchell
Some Gorillaz lyics

This post is long. Sorry bout that.

I just watched the entire FarhanK501 series on youtube....that was pretty interesting. Kind of has me scratching my head. It really gives you a whole new perspective on the music industry, that's for sure.
However...I think that's about all the conspiracy I can handle in one sitting, so I'm off to bed.

Good night all!

Don't know about any conspiracies, but if you're looking for good music listen to Erykah Baduh, the Fugees, and Lauryn Hill.

interesting, except that most scholars dont seem to think the "Thugees" were 'ritualistic' as much as just meticulous.

There's a track by artists 'The Orb' who released a track which is essentially a monologue, discussing the grand conspiracy of cosmic alignment of the stars, the book of revelations, the end times and nuclear destruction.

For the life of me i forget what the actual track is (bad form for my dj skills - i know), but i'm hung over so forgive me.

However it's on this album www.cduniverse.com... i think... i'd check but i don't have any speakers with me at the moment.

Possibly track - 9 or 10.

carouselambra, achilles last stand and ten years gone are three of my favorite songs.

it wasn't until i read the lyrics of carouselambra that i realized there was more to the song. it's a well crafted musical masterpiece.

thanks for posting the lyrics.
