Your thoughts on Syfy's new show "Beast Legends"

"Beast Legends" is Syfy's new show that follows "Destination Truth" on Thursdays. It follows a team of researchers and specialists who investigate the stories behind mythological creatures. They also study it's purported habitat and animals who have similar characteristics to the creature in order to come up with a CGI creation of what the creature might look like.

Episode 1's monster was the Kraken.
Episode 2's monster was a Fire Dragon
Episode 3's monster was Dakuwaqa ("Mega Jaws")

The next episode seems to be about the Griffin.

Although not an actual investigation show like "Destination Truth", I think the show does a lot for cryptozoology. They seem to pose the right questions by examining the environment and available food sources for the beasts it is profiling. However, "Fire Dragon" was definitely a stretch trying to come up with a way for it to breathe fire, and in the end it didn't really resemble the more traditional dragon art. What are your thoughts?

Is this show like monsterquest from the History channel? Sounds an awful lot like it.
How different is the show? I don't have television.

Have yet to watch it though.

I was not impressed.

It seemed like all they do is take legend and try to create a 3D image of the creature on the computer.

I only watched the first episode and that was about all I could take.

It seems like some of the people on it just wanna make stuff up as they go along.

The one guy wanted to add armor or something to the Kraken until somebody else told him to take it off.

WTF?

The show is very boring in my opinion. Its just not as interesting as Destination Truth or Fact or Faked. But maybe it'll get better who knows..

Thanks for the heads up - I have not heard of this show yet and was looking for something to watch since History channel discontinued MosterQuest.

I noticed that wednesday's episode of "Ghost Hunters" aired in place of the new episode of Beast Legends. I checked Syfy and it says Beast Legends now plays at 1AM EST... wow! I guess it is good as canceled.
