First Ever: Human-powered ornihopter flight (Video)

not much i can say really other then very interesting ,and i wonder if anything will come of this ,

This is worthy of a S&F so have one of each on me.

This is a very interesting video. I had no idea that there was serious research into man powered flight modeled on the flight mechanics of birds. It will also be interesting to see where they go with what they've learned. I wonder if there are there realistic applications for a contraption like this.

I could see the development of a sport glider easy enough and if they ever go there with it I may need a bigger garage.

Not only does is this the first human powered ornihopter, it seems to be the most functional full sized ornihopter in existence. I was only able to find one other video of another ornihopter. it has an engine and as the video shows, it does not fly very well.

Only other ornihopter I could find.
