Proof of evolution From wolf to dog

Hey guys,
I need to make a notation.
Evolve, means to change into a brand NEW item. Your talking of selective breeding. Taking something with a full spectrum genetic code and breeding OUT certain traits, hence selective breeding.
This is DOWN breeding, not evolution. You have less genetic material, not new.
The chihuahua by the way is a wild dog found in Mexico, its not a human breed.

No. A new species evolving is called speciation, the change in inherited genetic traits in an organism over generations is called evolution, which can lead to speciation.

You can't just make up and change proper definitions because you feel like it or to help support your beliefs. That's called intellectual dishonesty.

It's not really macro-evolution in the sense that one type of creature became another kind of creatue. What you are showing is that they are realy not separate species when they can interbreed and have offspring that can also interbreed. It's more like humans have taken a subset of the wolf population (probably ones that were more cooperative and easier to work with) and bred them into the varieties (breeds) that we see today. A great dane and a chihahua are both still considered dogs.

This is just an example, to show how much a specie's can change in a few thousand years. Can you imagine if the same breed of dog existed on two seperate islands ?? In a million years they would be so completely different they couldn't even breed anymore, hence, new species.

OP I had the exact same thoughts for a thread when I saw the preview for that show, haha.

No, not magic, just proof that a dog is just a bag of intentionally bred recessive genes. If introduced back to the wild, the wild dominant genes of subsequent generations would render the various recessive "dog genes" dormant.
