Flight 93
Jetliner Was Diverted Toward Washington Before Crash in Pa.

The San Francisco-bound United Airlines passenger jet that crashed in western Pennsylvania shortly after 10 a.m. today had been diverted from its planned flight path and was heading in the general direction of Washington when it plunged to earth, killing all 45 persons aboard.
United Flight 93, originating in Newark, followed a seemingly normal course until it reached Cleveland, where it suddenly made a sharp turn south, followed by another turn toward the southeast, according to Federal Aviation Administration radar tracking reports. The reports were published on the Web by Flight Explorer at www.flightexplorer.com.

FBI agents quickly took possession of the tape of that 911 call, which constitutes the only public evidence so far of what went on during the doomed plane's last moments. The FBI declined to provide any information about the tape's contents or the identity of the caller. At the crash site, FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen said he was unaware if there had been any communication from the pilot.
Authorities late today recovered the plane's flight-data and cockpit-voice recorders, government sources said. These should permit authorities to reconstruct what went on in the cockpit during the flight.

Flight 93 was shot down, period.
Of the airliner parts, the pieces that investigators judged most significant were the plane's cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder, both unearthed within 3 1/2 days of the crash.
Black box recovered at Shanksville site

FBI Agent William Crowley announced Thursday afternoon that investigators using heavy equipment found the recorder in a crater at the crash site near Lambertsville in Stonycreek Township.
AFTER THE ATTACKS: THE PENNSYLVANIA CRASH; Searchers Find Plane Cockpit Voice Recorder
CHAMPION, Pa., Sept. 14— As the families of those killed in the crash of United Airlines Flight 93 began to gather here, investigators found the crucial cockpit voice recorder deep in the crash crater and sent it to Washington for analysis.
The search continued for the remains of the 45 people on the plane.
An F.B.I. spokesman, Bill Crowley, said the recorder, which was found at a depth of 25 feet about 8:30 p.m., appeared to be in good condition.
The recorder is designed to record the last 30 minutes or conversation in the cockpit and could provide more detail about what happened on the plane.
Senator Arlen Specter, Republican of Pennsylvania, said at an earlier news conference in Shanksville, near the crash site, that the flight's other black box, the data recorder, recovered yesterday, was also found in the crater carved by the plane, at a depth of about 15 feet.

The FBI said so, that means the government said so, since the FBI is a government agency. The FBI also refuses to show what really happened on those tapes, meaning the FBI is guilty of concealing crucial evidence. If any citizen did something like that they would most likely be prosecuted, in jail waiting for their trial to begin (also unconstitutional, just saying).

Early news reports. Where does it say " The Govt " reported anything ?
Authorities late today recovered the plane's flight-data and cockpit-voice recorders, government sources said.

Govt reports to the media, the media reports that to us. You really didn't know that's how it works in situations involving an investigation by govt officials?

ATH911 really? 27 = the number of threads now regarding Flight 93 you have started. Not a single one of them offer any evidence of an inside job.
Your latest is this archived Washington Times article from September 12th. You put an emphasis on Authorities late today recovered the plane's flight-data and cockpit-voice recorders, government sources said.
So, it appears the writer of this article reported that both boxes were found on September 12th? This is your conspiracy? Really?
There are many other news sources that reported it differently:

Hmmm ... I could have sworn that Flight 93 crashed on September 11, 2001 ., not September 12 ?
So much for scrutinizing your sources before hastily posting them on ATS .

If you distrust the media so much, why do you accept beyond question that this information came directly from someone who would know what they were talking about in the government?

Um yeah, that's the point. Let's see how long it takes for you to get it.
Jeff Killeen, an FBI spokesman from Pittsburgh, said the main thrust of the agency's investigation will begin today when authorities divide the crash scene into grids and comb the area for evidence.
Yesterday, the priority of the FBI and state troopers was to protect the scene.
"The FBI will follow every lead to bring this case to a successful conclusion," Killeen said during a news conference held at the foot of the hill below the crash site under a hastily erected white tent.
Investigators did not locate the plane's flight data recorder or cockpit voice recorder, the so-called black boxes that would give information about the plane's behavior as well as conversations in the cockpit.
