I thought this was a really good article concerning space, Aliens, NASA, history and more. It covers a wide range of topics including the gold plaques fitted on the Pioneer and Voyager probes, radio waves in space, NASA, Astronaut statements, the weaponization of space, The moon and lunar surface, aliens in medieval art, the dropa stones, aliens in aboriginal artwork, aliens in Greek mythology, the Antikythera mechanism, the Baghdad battery, the Annunaki, alien grays, nephelim, alien abduction, aliens in egypt and religion, and the temple of Hathor. I really enjoyed the article and thought it had alot to offer on the subject. Here's a clip of the article and a link with photos.

Just six miles of atmosphere separates mankind from outer-space. In fact, a rocket can travel from the surface of our planet to space in just five minutes. In space, everything is different. With no atmosphere, the human eye can literally see for hundreds of miles. Space is not an empty vacuum, 99% of all matter exists in space, it's invisible and is called dark matter. The space around planet earth is full of invisible radio waves, the signals from our television, radio and telephone networks travel extremely fast in space. Every month planet earth sends out over one trillion individual radio broadcasts, which reach the planet Saturn within 11 days of leaving the surface of planet earth.

For the last 30 years, mankind has been sending small probes into space. The oldest of these probes (voyager I, voyager II, an the pioneer probes) were launched 30 years ago and have now left the solar system. The pioneer and voyager probes are fitted with a gold plaque which contains a map of how to find planet earth, a diagram of what we look like and an audio recording from the secretary general of the united nations. (an ex-Nazi named Kurt Waldheim. His voice is on a solid gold disc attached to the satellites.

Space shuttle Voyager?

Well that took all of 3 paragraphs to lose it's credibility. I won't waste my time reading any more.

This "article" is a joke and I find it completely moronic. In fact, I think I lost intelligence just reading it. I don't know what is worse, the fact that there is tripe out there like this, or the fact that this tripe even has an audience.

To the OP, I challenge you to use reason, logic and common sense when reading stuff like this. When you apply those three attributes to this, you will easily see how the entire article falls apart under its own ignorance.

It is well enough time for folks like you to stop being a part of the problem and be a part of the solution.

Uh Huh. Alright then. So, what's not a joke when it comes to talking about aliens? This article simply discusses the myths, ancient history, and some other conspiracy theories and a few facts surrounding space and aliens. I don't necessarily believe it's all true. I'm not sure what is such a joke though. There is a gold plaque on voyager and pioneer. There is a Baghdad battery and these civilizations do discuss and believe in some of these myths. This is simply a discussion about all the different topics surrounding the subject that have been discussed and brought up in the past. Some of it's myth and some of it's real. If you read the article in this light, maybe you'll get a bit more out of it. If we wanna talk about jokes, any news you hear is a joke unless you see it with your own eyes.

Just six miles of atmosphere separates mankind from outer-space

Off a great start there. Let's see: 6x5280=31,680 feet. I didn't know passenger jets flew in space.

radio and telephone networks travel extremely fast in space

There are telephones in space? Just how fast do those networks travel?

Sorry, with "facts" like that there isn't much to go on. Or reason to continue.

Weather you believe it or not, radio frequencies travel into space. I'll debate you in person any time if you think you know so much .

I think Phage was trying to point out that radio waves travel at the same speed in space as they do in atmosphere i.e. the speed of light. I think you're just proving that you don't know much about what you're talking about.

And its "whether."

6 miles of atmosphere????
Then why are planes flying at 33.000 feet? The last time I read about the thickness of the atmosphere it was about 15 miles.

Yes, radio, as well as other frequencies of electromagnetic radiation travel at the speed of light in space and pretty much everywhere. Maybe a tiny bit slower in the atmosphere but not so you'd notice.

I'm curious about how fast those telephone networks travel though.

Outer space (often simply called space) is the void that exists beyond any celestial body including the Earth.[1] It is not completely empty (i.e. a perfect vacuum), but contains a low density of particles, predominantly hydrogen plasma, as well as electromagnetic radiation, magnetic fields, and neutrinos. Theoretically, it also contains dark matter and dark energy.

Here is a quote concerning 6 miles of atmosphere.

The atmosphere has a mass of about 5 × 1018 kg, three quarters of which is within about 11 km (6.8 mi; 36,000 ft) of the surface.

So a 737 is a spacecraft?

Von Karman decided that there must be a definitive line drawn in the sky where aeronautics effectively ended and astronautics began. Together with an obscenely large group of fellow scientists, Von Karman spearheaded a study that would create such a line. In the end, it was decided, after several complex calculations, that the line could be set at roughly 100 kilometers above sea level (in truth, the actual answer was probably something a little higher or lower than this, but Von Karman, in his wisdom, decided to opt for a round number so that it might be easily remembered). And thus, this imaginary line, 100 kilometers off the Earth, 20 kilometers above the mesosphere and well into the thermosphere, became the official boundary between the Earth and outer space. This line became known, naturally, as the Karman Line.

Come on. 6 miles is an estimate. It's just where the atmosphere starts to thin, the beginning of space. Your taking it to a whole different plateau.

A pretty crappy estimate. It's only 1/10th of the way there.
That doesn't even count in horseshoes.

The point is, you're starting with fiction. Try starting with reality, it might lead to something.
