The Greek philosophers such as Plato (348 BC) and Socrates (450 BC) wrote about the earth being round. The Gnostic's also wrote about the earth being round, they were cosmologists who mapped our Universe well before AC, they in fact wrote that our Solar System was in a Galaxy which was only proved by Hubble in the thirties, the Gnostic writings were in found in 1947 around the same time the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
