His mother's citizenship alone doesn't make him a "natural born" citizen. She had to be residing in the US (which by all accounts, she was). If
she traveled overseas and had the baby while on vacation, as long as she was a US resident and citizen, I'm pretty sure that Congress (as they did
with McCain, who was born in Panama) would declare him a natural-born citizen. His father was also legally residing here at the time of his birth.
I think the reason it matters so much to people is that it's their only hope of getting him out of the White House because they don't like his
policies. It's that last grasp of hope - that minute possibility - that keeps them engaged, IMO. Besides, some of them just don't like the guy and
want him out. And then there are a few who actually believe that he's a usurper or that plans have been in the works for 50 years to have him take
over the country and the world!

Because IF (big if) he was born in Kenya, that would make him a dual citizen. British and American. There are rules provided by the Constitution that
prevent citizens of other countries from being elected as POTUS.
This isn't true. As long as he's a natural born US citizen, it doesn't matter what other countries consider him a citizen.
The US doesn't care
about other countries' citizenship laws. Only our own. The US doesn't recognize dual citizenship. If you're a US citizen, you're a US citizen,
unless you renounce it.
Oh, and he WAS a dual citizen at birth
according to Kenya (which we don't care about) because his father's citizenship passed on to him. But
he lost that when he turned 18.
