As someone who did a lot of intel work, recon work, and communications work for the US Marine Corps, I will tell you this. You will not find sensitive information on those servers. The DoD and Government have classified network, and it is an issolatied network, the whole thing is classified, and therefor can not connect to declassified, or commercial websites/networks. The stuff on that site is Public Relations based, and you won't find any "secret" plans there, nor will you find hidden agendas.

Also it is quite common for webmasters to delete directories that are no longer needed and forget to take them off of the robots.txt file.
