Even the stories from tribes that had no idea Gilgamesh, not to mention the entire continent he lived on, existed?

This should be moved over the BTS area.
Methuselah was Noah's grandfather. If I recall he was 969 at the time.
Still I believe that the story of Gilgamesh influenced the story of Noah's Ark and various other stories of the time.

1. Romantic Rebel, I didn't choose which topic or area of discussion this
post got listed under.
2. You're right. Methuselah lived to be 969 years old.
3. Methuselah was Noah's grandfather. Score another one for you.
"Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty seven years, and begot
Lamech. After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and
eighty two years, and had sons and daughters.
So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty nine years,
and he died.
Lamech lived one hundred and eighty two years, and had a son.
And he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will comfort us concerning
our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord
has cursed". Genesis 5: 25-29

Nah, haven't 'studied' about Noah for a long, long time. Actually, really never did 'study' him. It was just some stuff that popped in my head as
I was reading one day.
I got curious about the math, so I got out a pencil and paper. It was
really intriguing to me, and made a whole lot of sense after adding up all
the numbers.
I'm trying to answer your questions without giving any clues. [Beating all around the bush, and the leaves are still on..].
No, I don't study about various religions.

Okay, so here goes the first question.
How old was Methusaleh when Noah built the ark and what was Methusaleh's
relationship to Noah?

Started building the ark or when Noah finished building the ark?
